FINALLY! Just watched Morales/Pacman

Pac cut his tongue in the Barrera fight, as well. I think he needs a new mouth piece. And I swear I could hear him coughing during some of the rounds. :confused: He already had one custom made.

Yah the corner is panaicking too much It was Buboy who kept screaming after the cut. Lenny Dejesus had to lean over him to work on Manny. It was insane.

Is it me or Freddie Roach didn't knew what to say in pac corner. I've never heard him say "use your jab", wich would have been a good advice. What do you guys think of Freddie? Gloves and headbutts are not an excuse, it does however factor on the outcome of the fight. Im not saying Pacman would have won, Im saying lets have a rematch and see how it goes without those factors taking into place.

Holy shit I just saw Pacman/morales on Saturday. That was one of the best fights I've seen in a long time, I really wasn't expecting it to last all the way through the 12th though. I don't think the headbutt is why Pacman lost though honestly but godamn that boy has heart he fought hard even with that going on that must have hurt. mazel tov to my boy morales :boxing:

For my point of view... Gloves is not an issue. The real reason of PCAMAN's defeat is the head-butt. It is hard to fight a methodical fighter with only 1 eye. But as the PACMAN said: Charge it to experience, Better luck next time. and next time, the power of the PACMAN will surely show and EM can surely feel it Of course being outboxed contributed nothing to his loss, it was the headbutt, plain and simple. The cut probably bothered him a little, but if that's enough to cause him to lose a fight, then he needs to haul his happy ass back to Manilla, 'cause he doesn't have what it takes to be a fighter. Anyway, he was landing the left about as frequently after the cut as he was before....he just happened to be in the ring with someone who could take it, and was the better boxer. And before the glove-thing comes up here....I could see being annoyed with the glove requirement if he'd only managed to land 1 or 2 big left hands that really shook Morales up, and then was never able to land effectively again throughout the fight, but come on, Manny landed that left of his over and over..Morales just has a great chin. No matter what glove Manny wore, that fight just wasn't going to go his way. And what others have stated is probably true. Had Morales been wearing the Mexican gloves that Pacman wanted, it's more probable that Manny would've been KO'd, not the other way 'round. As many times as Pacman landed that left, if he could KO Morales at all, he'd have done it in that fight.

headbutt or the gloves were the issues... when i was watching it again pac's eye was already being swollen shut before the headbutt happen... pac fought a great fight he was just not the better man that night...

gloves were not the reason... the headbutt (though it affected pac's gameplan) was also not the reason he lost... actually i was a bit surprised when the three judges scored it 115-113 for morales... i watched as a fan of manny but personally, that fight should have been 1116-112... morales dominated manny... but manny showed his heart and the SUSPECT CHIN everybody has been talking about... now they know manny's chin is tough too... back to the topic... the reason why he lost was murad and roach... murad for all the distractions he places on manny (especially when it comes to finances), and roach for overtraining manny... 160 rounds of sparring is too much... i hope they get it straight the next tie around... yeah... the fight is a big lesson that will defenitely teach not only Manny, but the whole team Pacquiao(that badly needs a revamp).

This gloves issue is BS - EM was just as likely to win Big with the mexican gloves on, and knowing what a warrior he is i suspect he will use them if they meet again. PROPS to both guys though. i saw the fight saturday night on the rerun...I scored it 115-114 for Morales, pacqiao deserves a rematch, and the can wear the mexican gloves this time....emanuel steward explained about the gloves, saying that the winner gloves were softer and donot make a clenched fist, but he also added that had they worn the mexican gloves, it was more likely that morales would have knocked out pacqiao intead of pacqiao koing morales. that's the beauty of it, if they use the reyes gloves on there re-match, we will see a much more explosive, bloodier fight ...

no excuses PAC got beat, Erik was just technically and mentally superior that night, but i would love to see a rematch ... hope you Erik fans would also support a re-match... any news on Erik's next move??? hope he stays at 130 until the rematch.

i thought it was a great fight but i scored it 8-4 morales. but there were some close rounds that could have gone either way
