I know that all of you know this but I just wanted to tell you that there is a nice article on maxboxing about one of there sessions that Valero showed him a tape of. He said that Valero got the best of him but it was just 2 rounds.
You cant always tell anything from sparring but this one might be a littile different because it seems like they really knew who eachother were if you know what I mean and both were going pretty hard. I want to see this kid in a live fight. Fish braggs on him so much but I dont agree with half the shit he says about stuff. He said that he was the best young fighter he has seen in the gym since Mayweather and he said that he saw him and Pac spar against the same guys and he would KO guys that Pac would dominate but couldnt seriously hurt. The guy is 12-0 with a record 12 first round KO's but they say he doesnt rush guys. They say he actually takes his time despite knocking out all these guys in the first.
I say this. If he can spar with guys like Erik then he should be able to fight. Let the kid fight
Hayefan, I used your avarar to mock how Dougie and Valero seem to have a very close working relationship. I hope you don't mind. I think Valero is a great boxer and that he is okay to box. If he isn't I really hope they don't let him. We don't need any more boxers who can't speak.

he very easliy could have gotten the better of erik for 2rounds
erik tend sto do that
gives up couple rounds to feel out the other fighter
its nothin surprising
when it matters in the ring
erik would prolly take it to the kid easy
You're right, most people don't put too much stock in olympic losses, but when the guy he lost to has already been soundly beaten twice as a pro, you gotta ask yourself, where was Valero's vaunted power and maneuverability?
I signed up with Maxboxing before I'd read this thread, so you dont have to worry about the thought police.
Maxboving are overhyping him, but then he is a fighter worth getting excited about. He hits like a mule, has great movement and ring generalship. The only visible ch-ink in his armour as far as I could see, was a leaky defence.
Robbie Peden would do nicely. Let's just hope he's able to box again at all though. From what I've seen, he looks to be something very special.
Yeah but alot of guys lose to people in the olympics who you have never heard of and arent good pros, like Mayweather
I dont know about that loss but I dont think too many people care about Olmpic losses. Hey man, what are you trying to get me killed? I didnt want you to sign up with Maxboxing if you didnt already have it. :) Yeah, he probally is over hyped but I would still like to see him against someone like Robbie Peden or something

I signed up with Maxboxing just to see the Morales sparring videos.
I also checked out the other Valero videos, and it's fair to say that he IS being overhyped by the Maxboxing staff. Having said that, I'd also say that he did get the better of Morales, just.
It's also fair to say that it was just sparring, Morales may have been concentrating on specific things as opposed to fighting naturally.
I also heard that Valero lost to Israel Perez (dec 5-2) in the 2000 Central American Qualiifer for the 2000 Olympics. In the same weight class that Rocky Juarez won silver.
As he's being touted as this 1st round KO artist/monster, does anyone know any more about that loss?I dont know about that loss but I dont think too many people care about Olmpic losses. dude i cant fucking stand you.
I wish cancer upon you or hope you die of hiv.
I hope you know that I am a Morales fan. I wont even respond to that other shit you said because that will just come back on you. Grow up and stop crying like a littile girl everytime someone talks about Erik
You guys are saying that he held his own but that just sounds like fake talk and you really mean that he got the best of him but you dont want to admit it because it is Morales. I just want to see the kid fight

I saw the video and Valero did get good shots in. When Morales felt the punch you an see he got pissed and turned up the juice. Became more aggressive but since Valero was more of a counterpuncher, he got tagged a couple of more times. I would't say Valero got the better of the sparring but he did hold his own. But again, this is sparring....
I saw the video, and well lets just say Fisher likes to overstate things. Valero snapped Morales' head back once or twice. Morales on the otherhand snapped Valero's head back more times. Morales looked like the harder puncher too.
Valero said Morales hits hard hehe.
Yeah but they also said that Morales got shook up a few times also and that one guy wanted Valero to get out the ring. Im not trying to say that he is better then Morales but if he can hang with him this early in his career then he is a bad boy
