I need some, anybody know where I can find a set? Or just some general info on ring construction would be OK, I could design and build it myself without trouble. What I mostly need to know is how to construct the base itself. I know it's not just canvas, that there is some padding of sorts, and a support structure of some sort, but I've never bothered looking close enough when I had the chance to see how they're built. If anybody has the time, even just some photos from the bottom of a ring would probably do.
Any help appreciated.
Just bumping this to the top one last time.
Say fellas, if nobody has floorplanes....maybe I could get one of you guys who are in a gym routinely to take a few photos of the bottom of the ring, under, etc? I just need a rough idea of how it's built, I don't need anything detailed. I'm pretty sure I know, I just wanted to verify it before wasting alot of time and effort on something that wouldn't really be usable.
Just throwing this up front one more time.
And The Fix...thanks for the link, they do have lots of nice equipment, but I'm afraid I can't lay out that kind of money for a ring. I can afford to build it (because I'm a carpenter), but we'll just be using it for personal use, and maybe the occasional amature-ish tournament, provided I can get some interest for the sport going in my area (rural southwestern Missouri). I wish I could afford to build a complete gym, but that's just out of my reach right now. If I had $100 grand to lay out on the Wright/Trinidad fight, things might be different ;)
