That guy is a serial hater. lol.
...Yep, talk about being exposed. You can see the true Wlad haters in there for sure. I love it when somebody brings back an old thread like this. :)
Castillo will win this fight...unless Wlad somehow goes the distance, then Castillo'll just get fucked out of the decision.
I expect Castillo to knock Wlad out. He knows Wlad's chin now, and heart, so he'll come in confident and should win. Let's put it this way, Castillo is probably better than Lamon Brewster, so...yeah, Castillo has a very damn good chance.
I won't be shocked if Klitschko wins, cause yeah Castillo hasn't beat anyone good, but then again, Klitschko hasn't really since 2002, if you count McCline, Mercer, and Botha. Mercer is probably Klitschko's best win, besides Byrd, ever.
WOW. What a great, perceptive analysis.
Wlad will have to lose a handful of times or more before he disappears.
Quick - name Andrew Golota's greatest win...
Golota has a bunch of big opponents on his resume, zero wins against the cream of the crop, and he keeps getting title shots because he has tons of fans. Wlad could be the same way...
Have some Karma.
I hope Wlad is KO`ed once and and for all and lets us get on with the heavyweight division!

Golota has had a lot of close fights, he's made some bad choices, and he's had some bad luck. IMO - He won the fight against Byrd and should be IBF champ. You could also argue that he beat Ruiz. I won't be surprised if he finally gets his dues and becomes the WBO champ over Brewster.
IMO - he deserves it.
You're just splitting hairs here, guru. You said yourself something we all know, he beat up Bowe. Yes, his temper got the best of him and he lost, but we all know who the better boxer is, dont we?
And as far as Im concerned, he didn't "find a way" to lose to Byrd (a draw actually), IMO, he whipped Byrd like a red headed stepchild. And the general consensus on his performance against Ruiz is that he beat Ruiz, hands down. Hell, he knocked the man down twice, and the Hugger had point taken away, and still they gifted him a victory. Come one. We all know the pro boxing world is a corrupt one. And it shouldnt be much of a stretch to think that the judges were bought and paid for in that fight, and if you can make that leap in logic, it shouldnt be hard for you to see the plausibility of Wlad having been drugged during the fight with Brewster.
i agree its plausible that happened to wlad, but with nothing concrete i'm not going use it as an excuse... and i also agree that golota is a good fighter that should have beaten bowe twice.... but there is also plenty of evidence to suggest that golota is an underachiever, a quitter and a career loser...
i think golota is three times the fighter brewster is, but i wouldn't bet a penny on him.... he could kill brewster for 9 rounds, get caught by one left hook and quit like he did against grant....
OK, he beat bowe up, but did he win??? when has he ever won?? is golota a good fighter? yes, he is, but he's also a habitual loser, he always finds a way to lose and he's a quitter.. list his big wins??????? i'm sorry, there are none....

You are always trying to slag off Golota my man, saying he has never beaten anybody of note. HE beat the living crap out of former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Riddick Bowe twice ending his career.
I agree with you on this point, McKay, I too feel that Golota has been robbed the last two outings and is definitely in the top five or six heavies out there right now. He has excellent conditioning (we saw this when he went the distance with Tyrd) and he has good power (we saw this when he put little Johnny boy on his ass in the second round of their fight, although I dont understand why he didnt go for the kill afte that kd). I think we will see Golota mop the floor with Brewster, and then fight (and lose to) Vitali for another belt.

Not really. Not sure why the comparison between Hopkins/Tito and Sanders/Vlad. Sanders hits as hard (or harder) as any heavyweight on the planet right now still fighting, and has better handspeed as well. He's an expert at making a hole for those lightning-quick straight lefts early in a fight (hence the name, Sniper) and he pounded Vlad with several of them, and Vlad reacted like most anyone else would've when hit with power like that....he fell down.
Vlad Klitchko may be done, or he may not be. The jury is still out on that one. His chin may be questionable also, but it's hard to say at this point, because he lost all his confidence when Sanders gave him that beating and still hasn't gotten it back, which showed in his ring performances since then.
Give him another fight or 3 and see what happens. If he continues to disappoint, then we can write him off as a lost-cause, or a "coulda-woulda-shoulda" been and move on. Until then, I think I'll just be patient and see what happens, if that's ok with you fellas.
Very Perceptive - Karma+

Very well said, Stickman. Have some Karma.
unless wlad himself quits, i dont think his career is even close to over... look at how long golota has been able to hang around and he's NEVER beaten anyone... wlad is very marketable, i.e. big white guy, with power and has a big folowing.... even if you dont like him, you have to admit he's much more entertaining to watch then most heavey's, even when he loses

Sanders rocked Rahman with a left and Rahman fell back and grabbed the ropes which should have been ruled a knockdown. Luckily for Rahman he escaped that fight with a TKO because Sanders fat body was not in shape and his stamina feel apart late in the fight. My point is comparing Sanders left with anything Hopkins throws is utterly ridiculous.
It took twelve rounds for Hopkins to beat down Trinidad. It only took one punch from Sanders and Brewster to KTFO of Wlad. I hope this answers all questions. :boxing:

...Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part but I sense an urgency(career) and also a calmness with confidence in Wlad's body language and his interviews lately. According to Steward he thinks that he and Wlad are completely on the same page now. I predict that Wlad re-explodes back onto the heavyweight scene and all of the shit talkers are gonna be running for cover. In a sense I feel that if Vitali faced adversity, Wlad may really step up. On the other hand, if he loses clean in his next fight it's over.
