I'm going over a friends house to wacth the fight but I wanted to save it on my DVR (Tivo like device through Time Warner). But I don't want to pay the $50.00 if they will definitely rebroadcast. What is there policy and how do they usually handle these types of things? I looked at HBO's schedule but they don't show it listed. Although I know I've seen several fights when they said other things were playing. Ususally before the next big HBO fight. Anyone have the inside scoop?
Thanks.
gonna share that when you get it on dvd quality boxer?? i'll help you seed :D
I'm burning it to DVD from a DVD recorder that is attached to my tv. I am planning on getting a DVD burner for my computer soon. If anyone knows that the format the DVD recorders use is decodable into a format everyone can use than I will be happy to. But I am capped at 16kbs upstream, so I definitely would need help seeding. I would probably open it up to one or two people and then spread it.
On a side note, does anyone have a DVD burner preference. I am looking at an NEC dual layer burner for about $56.00. The dual layer media is damn expensive but it can burn regular DVD's until the price comes down on the dual layer. If anyone has an opinion or a better burner I'm all for it.
Thanks guys for your answers. I'm super excited! May be fight of the year. Gotta have that one on the ol' DVD!

Yeeah really. That would be the stupid marketting I've ever seen. Pay us $50 now, or you can wait a week and see it for free. Then again. You don't need HBO to order the HBO PPV. So I guess, in a way, it's more of a thing for HBO subscribers as a benefit for being an HBO paying subscriber that doesn't want to order the PPV or care about not seeing it Live. I for one would LOVE to see this Live though unless some non legit action takes place, I won't :(
I will be ordering this along with the other what million ppv events happening over the next 10 weeks...My wallet is going to be hurting when I get my next couple of cable bills.

The legit answer for this guy would be, yes, HBO is going to rebroadcast the fight the next weekend before the Vargas comeback fight. Cheers!

There's no undercard listed on the following week's broadcast, which typically means the main event from the PPV the week before will be part of the telecast. They just don't advertise it that way because they don't want you to rationalize not buying the PPV...
Someone may stream it on here, someone normally does.
Just stay away from all news and messageboard sites and download the thing, Im sure it will be available the next day.
