i think u gyz are forgetting that vargas hasn't fought in 1.5 years, n is not necessarily as good as he was then. hasn't fought a good fight since DLH, which is more than 2.5 years ago. he's basically coming out of retirement lol RIZ ... you're not too far from the truth. I'd love to see a guy like Sturm increase his output. He's possibly hiding a chin that's suspect, our that's just his style, but I'd like to see that one change.

so sturm couldnt outbox vargas or soemthign lol? i thought i was a boxing idiot guess im wrong again lol Point is this, Sturm is not a pressure fighter when facing a guy who can bang AND has good skills. I like Sturm's boxing skills, but he doesn't hit heavy enough for Vargas and, very important, Sturm is unlikely to open up for fear of exposing himself after feeling Vargas' power. Sure Sturm can box, which would be his biggest asset against Vargas, but boxing is not enough when you're facing a guy who can also box plus has heavier hands.

My point is. Yes, he may have survived against DLH. Actually, I think the case can be made that he won that fight. I suppose. regardless, who exactly has he beat that gives you the confidence to say he would beat Vargas. I personally think Vargas would break Felix's will and overwhelm him with short power hooks. He would chase him around the ring, and finish the fight in the mid rounds. He is stronger than Felix, regardless of how well conditioned Felix looks. He has faced and beat better opposition than Felix Sturm. In fact, I think Wilfredo Rivera would give Sturm hell. bwhahahah u sure? ill leave u to yr own thoughts

i would like to see sturm-vargas i think vargas would win Why though? I agree that Vargas would win, because of what Sturm would not do. Specifically, Sturm would not open-up and let the fists fly, which is the only way to beat Vargas, or you're goin' down. Vargas' head is very tender (not mentally tender) and he'd eventually go down if you kept up the pressure, but Sturm is not that kinda' guy, so he looses to the banger Vargas.
