Vitali's steroid use
I am not pointing fingers at anyone, and I am unsure whether or not I condone steroid use:
but I have heard some derogatory things about steroid use, coming from people who support Vitali Klitschko.
he is a POSTER BOY for steroid use. He even admitted it.

runwkives is just a vitali hater trying to get peopel to flame him so he can call them vitali nuthuggers
For one:
You are an idiot.
you never read my posts, you assume too many things.
If you would read them, you will see that I like Vitali
I also like to make fun of his clumsy ass.

> that being said it sounds like there isn't any real evidence at this point
So if there is no eveidence (there a people over there who already check this after each fight) then stop throwing the trash on him.
"His credibility can't be harmed if it hasn't alreasy been established. 3 straight victories over 3 flabby un-skilled fighters doesn't make you champion."
I don't think Sanders is un-skilled, he is too old right now and don't have the stamina for 12 rough rounds, that why he lost. Also the 3 straight victories was impressive and ended by knockdowns. There is no other HW right now who have so impressive last 3 fights.
"A victory over Rahman will help to establish a little credibility, but unification is the only way to gain respect on this side of the Atlantic"
Rhaman is nothing special over the guys VK fought before.
Unification gives an credibility everywhere in the World. Why do you think that "this side of the Atlantic" is the bellybutton of the World?
i'm a vitali k fan, but if i ever found out for certain that he was taking steroids i'd loose all respect for him. you're supposed to be the champ based on how good of a boxer you are, not how good of a chemist your trainer is...
that being said it sounds like there isn't any real evidence at this point.
You're not suggesting that an elite amateur athelete coming up in an amateur system of the former Soviet Union didn't expect drug testing prior to any qualification event?
absolutely not. I am suggesting, that he might have been misinformed by his trainer, as to the half life of the drug in his system. Vitali is a sports/nutrition science doctorate;
however I question his understanding of Steroidial effects.
I also am trying understand why he recieved little or no media attention following this incident. Vargas was bombarded with allegations, while Vitali admitted to taking a substance.

There was one incident, which cost him his spot at the Olympics. He said that the drug was taken unknowningly. The guy is not an idiot, although even an idiot would have the common sense not to take a supplement to increase his performance for an event that he knows he'll be banned from once he test positive for it. I named it after my favorite car. Got it just after graduation. It was a 72 Gran Torino Sport with a 351Cleveland (thats the engine). She was my baby till a drunk plowed into her. But life goes on, you know?
Sad to here it, I had a 73 Sport (351 C)fastback in college, and recently sold a 74 Gran Torino W/Starski and Hutch body code
Hey Gran Torino,
Why the name Gran Torino?

I could care less if he "cheated".
I am more interested in the principal of the matter.
Why does he recieve the benefit of the doubt; regarding his use.
Why has the media circled Vargas and not Vitali. Thats all.
I cant remember a time when any boxing announcer discussed this
matter. It seems like a conspiracy to me.
Don't forget Mayweather. They jumped him, too. And they were wrong. You should know better than to do anything more than take what the media says with a grain of salt.
Barry Bonds' defense against steroid allegations was very similar to your "caps-lock" fury.
How could I be causing trouble, when I am merely speculating on his KNOWN steroid use.
I hate to break the news to you. Your boy used Roids.
Because you say things like "He is the poster boy for steroid use" or some such nonsense. You already have your mind made up, and just want to spread that opinion in the thinly veiled guise of false objectivity.
If you go to the doctor and he gives you somethign, you trust him to give you the right thing. If he did not, you would not be at fault, now would you?
Incidentally, the "caps lock fury" was for your benefit, as you apparently have a hard time hearing, or digesting actual logic, I thought I would make it easy for you.
I had to take steroids as eye drops for an eye injury once, would that count as cheating?
I think that there is a difference between using steroids to enhance your performance and using it as a healing agent.

Apparently, it has been a while since he quit against Byrd.
People still think of him as "quitali".
Really? What people? You are the first one I have heard use that term.
You submit a one-sided story like this with the hidden intent of causing trouble.
Congratulations.
If you had read the entire story, you would see that what Vitali admitted was that they were given to him during the olympics AND HE WAS UNAWARE OF WHAT THEY WERE GIVING HIM. HE HAD NO INTENTION OF USING THEM. THEY WERE GIVEN TO HIM WITHOUT HIS KNOWELEDGE.
Stop trying to cause trouble.

As for the 'roids, take the reports with a grain of salt. Everyone in the Northern California knows that the San Francisco Chronicle is tabloid nonsense, but ESPN continues to use their articles concerning the BALCO investigation as if the statements are factual.
I'm sure that The Klitschko brothers have dabbled in 'roids and supplements, but I'm also pretty certain that both guys train hard and haven't been breaking the rules since their arrival to the states.

You can also extend that quote to say that other professional boxers are just as likely to have (especially heavyweights, David Tua, anyone?) used them as well.

I'm just saying that he takes enough heat already, IMO partly because of his skin color
I could really care less if he used steroids or not.
My point is, if Shane Mosley openly admitted using steroids, or Fernando Vargas admitted it, they would be shunned by the media.
Somehow....I think you are right about the "skin color" thing.
I just dont think he has taken ANY heat for it.

Just curious, If unification is the only way to gain respect, what did you think of Lennox Lewis dupming the IBF and WBA belts?
