Jackson is known for knocking people sleepy with one punch Trinidad hurts people with one punch. All I know is that Mayorga stuck his chin out for Trinidad and survived, he wouldn't do that to Jackson.
Ask the gay Soldier or Chico Suave. They'll both tell you Trinidad is their God. Of course, they can also tell you what color underwear he had on last night...
Hey, I never claim that Trinidad is anything. I just get at you everytime you write stupid comments like you just did. I have never read a post that you've wrote that has ever made sense. All you do is post insults about fighters and their fans. You need to get your self a blow up doll to release some of that tension.
the reason because of this
is because power punchers generate more leverage and most of the KO's they suffer are from their own leverage, it sounds weird but alot of guys get knocked out when they are coming in with their own punch
I agree...also I was wondering if their nervous system could have something to do with it. I believe everyone has his own percentage of fast fibers inside the muscles, which are fibers very quick to put in action. The higher the percentage, the bigger the natural power is, because of ability to accelerate a big mass of muscle. But maybe also it means your nervous system is more sensitive at the same time?
If anyone knows more about this he's welcome, I'm not a bilogist :D
When Tito was an amateur he wasn't thought of as any kind of power puncher. Which is strange. Tito's destructiveness comes from his technique and also it has to do with the commitment to throwing punches, setting himself to get all the leverage he can when throwing bombs. He rarely KO's or KD's an oponent with one shot but the amazing accuracy he has and where he naturally judges and adjusts distance when he's got a guy hurt gets him a lot of stoppages. He gets the most out of the power he's got.
Julian Jackson just had insane natural power like Tommy Hearns, so he's defintley a bigger puncher IMO. It looked like he damn near killed Herol Graham with one shot.
Nasseem Hamed should be up there with P4P power punchers as well, no doubt about that.
Throughout history power punchers usually didn't have the greatest of chins.

I think Jackson hit harder than Tito. Julian had some freak power and could knock heads off of shoulders. Not that Trinidad is a slouch in the heavy hand department but I just think Jackson had one punch KO ability.
like many already said
jackson
cuz he was fighten guys bigger or the same size
trinidad was just a starved fighter with power
his power is pretty bad
but its more like it hurts
Jackson had the touch of sleep
hed just lay guys out
Sadly I wasn't born when these guys were at the peak of their careers...beside the huge power(looked at the guys records)and weight how the compare in skill with boxers of my era like DLH,hopkins, tito, mayweather etc. in pure fighting skills? :boxing:
yes guys i noticed it too , but some punchers have good chins , tua tyson mcllelan hagler comes to mind.
i think it comes from their build , tall , thin and muscular , makes for xplosive punches but small necks and legs .
It does have to do with thier build. Big punchers usually have skinny builds.
I have always said it is more of a leg problem with Tito in the lower weight classes. Since he has moved to 160 he is able to take punches alot better than before. Even Corrales seems to absorb punches better since his move to 135.

Gerald was more a natural Lightheavyweight. He`d enter the ring some 15 - 20 lbs above the middle/super middle limit by fight time.
I think allot of his natural power came from this weight advantage and explains why allot of his KO`s were early!
Trinidad`s power is more from the hips and jumping off his right leg with the left hook but I tend to think McClenan was the harder hitter.
Jullian Jackson! Man, his power was unreal. I could not believe it some times he`d hit just once and level fighters like Terry Norris and Herol Graham. Hearns had a great right hand, but Jackson was riddled with power!
That's a tough call. I'm think McClellan hit harder because of the fact he was a natural middle weight whereas Hearns moved up from welter.
plus mcllelan weighed 175-180 at fight time , gaves him an edge in power at middleweight.
Who hits harder McClellan or Hearns?
