Ruiz may very well have a shot, I never would have thought that he would go the distance with Golota, of course Golota fought the wrong fight, but still Ruiz deserves at least some credit for being there to slow dance his way to a controversial victory, at least in my mind lol
Why waste time discussing a crazy idiot like Tyson. I agree with Anorak in that I think Ruiz would have a great shot at beating Mike, either on points or Tyson would get frustrated and try to eat Ruiz`s ears.
I`m starting to warm to the crazy comments of Mike Tysonjr of late too!
He claimed the other day that Tyson was better than Klitscko because it took Klit 8 rounds to dispose of Danny Williams while Tyson`s fight with Williams was over in 4!!! I can imagine Klitscko feeling the fear...
At his best he was the greatest of our time. But that 1988 prime Mike Tyson is no longer around. I personally think that in his prime he would beat anyone in history, but he's finished now. All he can do is go out there and hope to land one big punch.
as much as i want to see tyson be a top condender again and win a legitimate belt and beat the best, i just cant see it happening, the heavyweight division is weak right now but tysons skills have eroded so badly i cant see him being that much of a threat in the heavyweight division anymore.
if tyson does not knock out a fighter within the first 3 rounds he will lose the fight, hes stamina is not the same and hes skills are not the same.
all boxers have to do is try and avoid him for 9 minutes (3 rounds) and then they could start takin him apart. i cant see tyson turning back the clock, hes finished as a top boxer.
Ruiz, holds every two seconds, that would wear Tyson down, you won't see tyson in a big fight for a long time, they said he is going to fight chumps for awhile, and don't be upset when one of them beats him.
Hugging an infight monster wouldnt be wise, ruiz would likey get koed trying to hug him.
Ooooh comon he can take out Ruiz.

Mike Tyson has a chance of beating anyone in the first 3-4 rounds after that he's ko'd. Vitali would beat him to a pulp the same way he did Williams only Mike having been there and done that would not be willing to keep taking the punishment. Give the man back his youth and he'd be champion again but his youth is as long gone as his chance of ruling the world unlike Foreman Tyson's style is not suited to the older athlete.
Tyson can train with who ever he wants they still can't turn back the clock. If he wants to comeback and make an impact then he won't go on another bum tour but I doubt that. He will fight about three no hopers and challenge for a title and lose.
What kind of bet is that? :) He'll fight some guy who runs the local chip shop or something...
That's how confident I am that Mike is done. The only person I even give him half a shot against is Holyfield. Nope I take that back, Holyfield could still beat mike.
his knee is back in shape.
he is back.
Willaims beat Tyson because of the knee injury
I doubt we'll see Tyson a world champion again, he hasnt got it anymore.
Anorak. How about this bet. All my points, no matter who the fight is against. That's about 15 million right now vs all your downloads. You send me your fight list, every month for like 6 months. And if I want something you have to send it. I would offer the same if you want it but I know that your list is better than mine.
The analogy I like to use is this. Mike Tyson was the Michael Jordan of boxing. They both had breaks in their carreer. Prison and baseball. They both came back to reclaim what was theirs.
The difference is this. Mike Tyson caim to pro boxing before MJ came to basketball. Mj left basketball before Tyson left boxing. I think and hopefully you would agree that boxing is physically more demanding than basketball, so why would we expect Mike to be who he once was. Mike's physical peak was 20 years ago!
As much respect as I have for Tyson, and as much as I want him to start rolling through opponenets again, it just isn't going to happen. It would take a miracle for him to be World Champion again. It would be the only thing to happen in the history of boxing that would be more famous than his previous, infamous meteoric rise and fall. It would be the Death and Return of Superman...but just as fictional.
