This guy was trying to give Richard Steele a run for his money. 1 point taken away from each fighter for low blows when niehther had even been warned, then the early stoppage. There's no doubt in my mind that Cotto was going to win. He was starting to sap the strength out of Chop Chop. The stopage was bad, though. I think that Chop Chop can show enough cause to get the fight declared a NC by the WBO. Well, mebbe. Isn't the WBO based in San Juan?

The low blow in the 2nd was NOT a low blow it was a hard ass shot to the liver that made chop bend down, the right hand just before the left to the liver was right on the waistline, bad call by teh ref.

What up with the Ref? Do you guys know that the WBO rules state that you cannot have a ref from the same point of orgin as the fighter. They were not supposed to have this hometown ref do this fight. I also thought Cotto got away with alot of cheap shots. He hit Chop low, after the bell alot, and when he was down. Chop hit him low once and only hit him after the bell because Cotto was still throwing bombs and hit him first. The one when he was down really hurt Chop. That was a bogus stoppage. Alot of guys take a knee. He never even hit Chop. He just wanted to make sure that Cotto won. I dont think it was a given like alot of you do. Chop was still catching him clean alot. All it takes is one punch. Chop always fights in shifts. He can be hurt then recover, thats why he took the knee

lol For those of you who say that you knew what was going to happen anyway, as if that somehow excuses the stoppage, you might as well have kept that in your mouth. When you are a professional fighter, come back to me. Corley had hurt Cotto very badly and maybe he could have done it again. You don't know, and no one does. Corley DESERVED a chance to see what he could come up with after taking a knee to recuperate. Many fighters have taken a knee to recuperate and have gone on to win. It's not a majority but it does happen. Given Cotto's trouble to make weight, he may have gotten tired and in a serious position to lose again later in the fight. This WAS a bad stoppage, end of story.

I was watching the fight with my dad. he was rooting for Chopshop. he started yelling, "cotto is hurt". while I went to the fridge. damn, I actually missed the punch that hurt Cotto.
