Tua was ten times the fighter and K.O. artist Tyson EVER was. he never recieved credit because he did not bite people. If anyone would like to compare records of the two, bring that shit on. PLEAZE!! FACT:Tua never won a world title/Tyson won all three belts and was the first to unify them in the HW division. Plus became the youngest HW champion in history at 20 years old. And he became a two-time HW champion. Tua never successfully learned to cut down the ring and lost every meaningful fight he ever fought, Tyson in his prime dominated his opponents and brought more popularity back to the sport than anybody ever has.

Let him fight and see what happens how many times have tyson given the chance to fight? alot, and he loses alot too. this is how i perceive tyson's career as of late: 1. he wants to fight, not for the sake of winning, but for the earnings 2. the same goes for his handlers 3. fans, actually, are not expecting tyson to fight but what he will do in the ring boxing bid farewell to tyson along time ago

The problem is that he is so weak mentally that he can't get himself motivated. That is also the reason why he crumbles when he meets a foe who has more heart than him. All his physical gifts are there. All the would of, should of, could of really don't matter. I used to admire Iron Mike. but he since has lost the focus, the killer instinct he had before. What's only left is the desire to survive and earn a living. So I'm really not taking his comeback seriously.

I remember the 80s very well. I was a huge fan of Tyson back in the day. And it has been a sad journey of decline since then. Tyson has wasted his talent all the way, and now it is far too late to do anything about it. He is old, his reflexes gone, no heart, poor stamina and no longer able to throw a decent combination. Still, he is and will be a big draw for as long as he stays in boxing. This has to do with the illusion of what once was, like you point out HayeFan, and given the fact that there is always some sort of turmoil with Tyson. Where ever he goes, trouble is never far away. Next to Ali, Tyson might very well be the biggest draw in boxing history. But there has to be no doubt - as a contender, Tyson is finished!

It's easy to pick apart Tyson's record. That doesn't tell the story of 'Iron' Mike Tyson. There's good reason that a washed up, long since past his prime Tyson is still a draw. It aint the freakshow element, it's the fear of what once was. If you weren't around in the 80's, you'll never understand why people will always give Mike the benefit of the doubt.
