Rocky Mariciano
and his 49-0 record
i personally think he is one of the
best heavi weights ever,
people talk about him not fighting
good fighters, but thats out of his reach,
he fougth the very best avialable at the time
do you think he is overated due to his record?
thats when tyson lost his heart lol :X sad day for me
Sad day for heavyweight boxing
Tyson was the last great champ,( no off to Lewis)
after tyson the whole division
lost its charm and a lot of
followers.
im sure tyson had some himself when he was in his prime. But heart isnt everything
no off but i think he could have gotten up
Vs Douglas, i didnt see it being that bad
i know rocky is great but to say he could take everyone of tysons punches is a bit to much even for a great like him hey tyson can dodge/slip to u know and hell there the same height lol
One word = Heart

You sure thats Marciano your speaking about ^^^ :D
Tyson wouldnt see the final bell against Marciano, he'd get broken down easily enough.
Marciano is the best heavyweigth
just under Ali
Hes over rated. He got that
record from fighting bums.
and beating Larry Holmes when he was
too old.

yeah but he can still outlast them in anyfight
he was the most commited to training boxers ever.
his shape was incredible, he would tired his opponents out
then break them down
maybe but one man can only take so much
Anyone who thinks he's overated hasnt seen him fight, or wasnt watching close enough.
Marciano's considered a brawler with no defence?? I've never seen a fighter slip punches so well, for his style he never got hit!!
the main reason i cant see him beating other top heavyweight pass his era is cause rocky was only 5 11' and 188 pounds.. thats liek putting a middleweight today agaisnt a heavyweight. the size adn reach advantgae of heavys beyond his era where just way to much bigger i know size isnt everythign but at some point it is. lennox lewis at 6'5 250 or VK at 6'7' he woulda have a very tuff time...

One must always remember, styles make fights, and opponent A, while defeating opponent B, might very well lose to opponent C, who lost by mid round Ko to opponent B. :D

i think he is underrated
since people keep saying how
Foreman, Tyson and such would have kicked his
ass.
they could not last 15 rounds going at it against him.
he might be one of the best ever.
like someone said before he was the best conditioned figther
ever
Sturm you're thinking of when Charles split his nose open and the doctor talked to his corner between rounds telling them he'd let Marciano fight for only one more round. The Rock then proceeded to go out and KO Charles in that round.
Foreman was better? Tommy Morrison beat Foreman and you think he's better than Marciano.

Marciano was relentless. He pressured from the start of round 1, until the fight was over. He never backed off, and never slowed down. His conditioning was what allowed him to work like this, and many (if not most) fighters, especially heavyweights, are unable to deal with completely unending pressure. Rocky would've given trouble to any heavyweight who ever lived. Would he have beaten them? No way to tell, but he'd have had a chance with anyone. Any guesses as to outcome are pure speculation, but it certainly can't be said he wasn't in the same class as Ali, Foreman, Frazier and the like. And when you remember his size (diminutive for a heavyweight), it could even be argued that he's in the running for pound-for-pound greatest who ever lived.
Foreman would destroy Rocky's face and the fight would be stopped on cuts. I dunno if Rock can walk through 6-8 rounds of giant, sometimes unanswered (range) shots. It'd look much like Foreman/Frazier...except Rocky might stand up longer, and that's where the cuts come into play.
you are telling me all the fighters
he fought had less reach than him ?
he can figth raround the reach problem
