I notice many people on this forum and other are saying thing like pac in 8 or morales in 6 or above rounds...it amaze's me in a way because...Is it just me or can this fight be over pretty fast...I mean if Manny connect well on erik early on it will be a easy fight and if erik figure's out manny (a bralwer/puncher which is a technique Morales figure outs fast and connect easier on) then why is no one thinking maybe this might not be aslong as we think it will go?(just asking cuz i'm not sure really but i do know there is a chance it might be a short night)
Bump..... For everyone that thinks manny fought some faded morales,,,
Manny was just the better fighter in the long run,,,
Danny garcia, maidana fought a faded morales
This fight would be his crowning glory...It is his key to boxing imortality. Go Manny!!!
Strange you would see it that way. If Manny soundly whoops Morales (very doubtful though), he will have beaten a guy who recently lost to someone that Manny had previously whopped. Also, in beating Morales there's no title.
How does that make him a "boxing immortal"?
It works both ways here Bro. Eric is not a counter puncher either :p and if Pac tags Eric . . . I can assure you that it's not just one or two or three punches either. Well that's what making this fight really very interesting match up.
Actually, Eric is a very effective counterpuncher. That's why that vicious uppercut is so lethal.
Manny would be in the best shape of his life. This match is a dream come true for Manny. This fight would be his crowning glory...It is his key to boxing imortality. Go Manny!!!
Manny is one of the best conditions fighters period. He kept his high pace against Marquez the entire fight. Roach said that he will be in the best shape of his life and i would think he will be. If it goes late Manny will still be there firing.
Totally agree with you. If we get to the later rounds, Manny will probably keep throwing at a high pace like he did with Marquez, and it will be that same lead combo with head bob and lunge that he offered to Marquez. All fighters entering the laters rounds revert to their instincts and less to the recent training, especially if he is getting tagged good. Manny will definitely be firing, as you say, but that wasn't enough (even with a 10-6 buffer) against Marquez, and won't be against Morales.
has any1 noticed pacmans record his only 2losses hav cum via 3rd roud ko
could it b that he hits hard but cant take shot that well....any how i dont see pacman beatin morales...gonna b good fight..may the best man win........MORALES
Those were in the days where he was either poorly prepared or overweight. He needs to work on his body's resistance to hard punches though if he intends to go toe to toe with Erik.
The biggest motivation for Morales in this fight is probably to say, look, Barrera beat me, though I beat all of Barrera's conquerers. All my fights with Barrera are close decisions though nobody else can beat me. He's also mentioned he wants to do something Barrera and Marquez couldn't and that was to beat Manny. With all this motivation and we know Morales comes ready for war in every fight, it's going to be insanely explosive. Manny has already been reported to be in fantastic shape and ready to fight right now. I expect no less from Morales although why did he change his usual training routine for probably his hardest fight yet? Over confidence? Hmmmm.
nah I don't think it's overconfidence. Prolly to keep training secrets or to be more focuse, less distracted with a big entourage. Or maybe its some sorta "spiritual, karma" whatnot who knows lol

Pac has to offer something that will surprise Eric? :D Definitely . . . but I can asure you that Pac's left is enough. They don't call that a "PHANTOM LEFT" for nothing. All his opponents have studied that LEFT very well and claimed they won't be suprised anymore or they have prepared a strategy to neutralize that . . . but they all got hit and ended up in the canvas It's not a HYPE Bro results will show that . . . 24 of his last 25 opponents all went down to the canvas. You can't prepare for something you don't see coming and when it's coming.
"You can SAY you know how fast he is, you can THINK you know how fast he is, but you never REALLY know until it's front of you, and Pacquiao is A LOT faster than Marquez could have ever imagined"

Good points pso
:) !
manny will tire in the later rounds, he is not used to going the distance that often. most of his fights end within the first few rds. beacause of his power. he too often looks for that ko punch. you will notice in all his fights when he is forced to go into the later rounds he is tired and his punches dont have the effect

And i dont know about the going into late rounds and not carrying power (Marquez fight maybe) but thats more because of Marquez counterpunching and less to do with Manny.
The ref will be KOd in 4 rounds. He will try to break up the fighters from a clinch when suddenly Morales fires a right at Manny and Pac fires a left at Erik. Erik hits the Ref on the upper jaw and Pac hits the ref on the lower jaw. The ref is knocked out unconscious with a misaligned set of yappers and is taken to the hospital. :D
hahahahahaha :usa: :chomp: :You_Rock_
I also hoep ths fight goes on for long but i know and understand that with these 2 fighters it may not

lol what you saw one Pac fight for this "enlightning" assesment of his stamina? lol
You make it sound as though Pac is actually a counter puncher or something. Fact is, Manny might not be doing much of anything if Erik actually "tags" him hard, as you say. Truth is, it's very likely that Morales will "tag" Pac with a combo of some sort, and, if Pac is actually hurt, Morales won't be just throwing two or three shots.
For Pac to succeed against Erik, he'll have to surprise him with something that Pac has not offered to-date. What would it be? Maybe Morales will "under estimate" Pac's speed and power? Probably not. That said, what else does Pac have? Maybe Morales will overcommit and get countered? Very doubtful.
I'm interested to hear your thoughts. Really.
"I was gonna eat him up like Pac-Man, I figured once I get through the right hand, then it was all mine"

We know Manny loves to fire back very hard if he gets tagged. The 2nd Morales touches him, Morales will be going down hard :)

Morales KO 4 after dropping Pac in the 2nd and 3rd.
JOSE ... I trust you are not trying to be a smart-ass with this prediction. Meaning, I will agree entirely on the KD's followed by the KO, but in a later round.
Trouble for Pacquio is that he will again have no choice but to come out brawling like he did with Marquez. Why? For one thing, he can't let a master counterer like Erik get comfortable. Unfortunately for Pac, he couldn't finish Marquez early and the bulk of the next 11 Rounds belonged to the more complete fighter. Pac will again be faced with a first-tier counter puncher with a heart and chin of steel. Erik normally starts slow, but he knows what's comin'. And, as the fight approaches the middle rounds, Erik will have taken some shots and stayed upright, figured-out Pac, and will begin the KD's, followed by a textbook Mexican swarm that has Pac on the mat.
Pac will try to mix-it-up, and will get treated to a beautiful Moreales right hand, down the pipe.
