LMFAO you guys are serius! its pretty bad when you want to put Tyson in w/a Guy Danny Williams destroyed! Man that should tell you how fukin pathetic that one hit wonder has become!
Toney will not have the power to hurt Tyson and Tyson will catch Toney. His style is to fight in a little box. That spells disater when you have a fighter who needs to come foward and has power inside. Tyson Kos Toney in 5. ;)
Toney had power to hurt Holyfield...
Toney might be a little to much for Tyson at this stage but I would rather see Tyson fight Toney than VK or Byrd.

If Toney beats Ruiz, Tyson should campaign for the WBA.

Even if he did become champ somehow (he is incapable of beating vitali, unless vitali undertrains and comes in at 290lb, or lets his skills heavily erode, theres no way he would beat today's vitali..mike would have to pull a bruce seldon, become champ via a DQ or something) ,how many successful defenses do you think he would be capable of?
It would be different if he was a different character, but he isn't ,he's mike tyson. He loves the idea of the trappings of success, he hates the process of preparing to be great. If he ever becomes champion again, he'll lose it in one defense.
dont take this the wrong way, I am a tyson fan, and would love to see him make a comeback. But with upcomers like sam peter and malcolm tann, I don't see tyson holding the throne for more than a couple defenses at most, even if he did somehow defeat vitali.
true... i juss wanna see tyson on top again... and retire... once he gets there...
It will be the same thing it always is with Tyson's comebacks. He will fight a few no hopers and just when he gets everybody backing him again he will fight one of the champs and let down all his fans again by losing. Tyson is pretty much done and I will be very surprised if he proves me wrong which I doubt.
i wanna see tyson become champ again... and face vitali....

Dont think it will help his confidence much to ko some big fool, but it will sell and it will certainly make a lot of people think he is a contender.
it's certainly better than another 4th round KO by. Tyson can't afford another Danny Williams fight. There's just some guys you can't keep losing to and still be viewed as legitimate, no matter what the circumstances of the fight...
Mike's used to fighting big, lumbering, unskilled guys. I just wonder if that's his best strategy anymore - especially when he's not going to be fighting a Top 10 guy anytime soon. I want to see him against some confidence builders. I wonder if his pride will allow it...
Anyone know McBride's height and weight (aka - who's been to boxing rec so I don't have to)...
If i remember he is quite a big fucker about 6.6 and 250pounds.
But he aint very skilled.
Meehan, though, took a lot of Rahman punishment without going down...
When Tyson's coming off of a layoff, and "getting back in the swing of things", he doesn't need to fight a much taller, much heavier guy that can lean on him and make him tired. Tyson's pride won't let him fight a guy with a losing record, but he needs to do what Rahman did after his losing streak or Foreman after his layoff - the fans will want to watch a Tyson KO anyway like they remember. Why not fight 4-5 bums, get ranked by one of the alphabets in the Top 10, and go for a big fight?
The trick is getting a Peter McNeeley - a guy with a great record but a misleading one. I think Meehan has been exposed, so if Tyson struggles with him, it hurts his image that he can get back in the mix with the contenders.
McBride was replaced by Danny Williams. I don't know if they still want McBride. I've heard him linked to Kali Meehan, which is not a good comeback fight for the same reason Williams wasn't. There was also a K-1 fighter with 8 professional boxing losses that was linked to Tyson since he has a K-1 connection...
Yeah I know that, but I heard they still want McBride now. I disagree, Meehan would be a pretty good comeback fight. He's more known than McBride and just look at what Danny Williams did to him.
