Larry Holmes is as stupid as they come, boxing or no boxing. He had a 7th grade education and talks like a moron. "And can't nobody beat me, I know, Cooney know it, everybody know it." While your right, he is never going to win brainbusters, I always thought Holmes was being kinda tongue and cheek when was in interviews. If you listen to some of his old interviews, he would just blurt out things like "damn, I go alot of money, I'm rolling in it" at odd moments. He would say things like that when someone was questioning him (he always lived in the shadow of Ali). He would have this Cheshire Cat type grin....funny as hell if you caught it.

pretty ironic, considering how many heavyweight headshots tyson has taken, his stalking style, and his age, he should be a slurring vegetable by now and now I look at mayweather who is also stupid but doesnt even take many shots and when he takes em its from a ligher weight opponent.

There is an old saying that goes: "He's stupid, but he knows he's stupid....and that almost makes him smart" Tyson is a good example of this. He really tries to be articulate but it always comes of wrong. If you notice when he does this, he kinda looks down like he knows he messed up. Get him on the subject of boxing and he is a walking encyclopedia. The guy can tell you who just about anything about the history of boxing...freaky stuff that most people have to look up. Tyson dosen't come off like such a dumbass when he is talking about something he is familiar with. Mayweather is the opposite. He is stupid, but dosen't know it. Which translates to....if he had half a brain...he would have half a brain. :D
