Two questions.
1) Please tell me this is being televized this weekend on the undercard of Maywheather?
2) Who do you guys thinks wins this. I know Peters is very limited skill wise, but hey he can KYTFO quite brutally and you have to love that.
Im gonna go w/ the Nightmare on this one!
Atleast until he gets a fight on HBO or Showtime so blind fans like you will finally get a chance to see how good some fighters really are.I bet you're one of them fans that go to BoxRec and look at a fighters record and automaticly assume that a fighter sucks just because he wins a few Majority decisions and loses to another unknown fighter.
Many doubted Glen Johnsons chance against both RJ and Tarver, because he had 9losses,but he ended up winng both.Just shows you that a Pro fighters record isn't the whole story.
I have no problem with his early loss and his only MD was his first fight, so I don't know where you are coming from. The fact of the matter is that he's fought no one and he has no power. He needs to actually beat a top 30 fighter before you should start showering him with your praise. Johnson has nothing to do with this, and it just shows how shot RJJ is and how overrated Tarver is.
Sorry smart ass. I know who Tony Thompson is. He's fought nobody besides Vaughn Bean who may or may not be shot. For the record he has no power. He's nothing to get excited about.

Theres no shame to losing to a fighter like Tony Thompson who is actually a decent Heavyweight. He's 6'6,has a solid chin, good boxing skills and has above average power for a fighter of his height.Has a Pro record of 24-1.I think he would give any Heavyweight problems.
Of course, the typical fan like yourself wouldn't know this.
;)

Diaz is a nobody who was owned by Tony Thompson. As little as I think of Peter, I just don't him losing to Diaz.

Both of these fighters are coming off big KO wins against decent opposition.I'm actually more impressed with Diaz's KO win over the undefeat(at the time) J.C Gomez, than I am with Peters brutal KO over the already well known weak-chinned Jeremy Williams.
Believe it or not,Diaz and Peter happen to be good friends and have sparred many rounds with each other. So I doubt this fight will be a lopsided fight with a early KO,because they know alot about each others tricks and tendacies in the ring.Diaz has good timing with his right hand, and I think he can land it effectively against the slower handed and shorter fighter Sam Peter.I pick Diaz to win,not only because of his big right-hand but also he has the confidence and a no fear mentality about him that I feel will carry him to victory against the dangerous puncher Sam Peter.
Diaz by KO8
I feel like it is 1999 again with me constantly saying that everybody is going to beat Tua, but Tua kept winning by knockout, until he fought someone good, like byrd or Lewis.
Anyway, since I never saw Diaz fight and I saw Peter fight twice and he outboxed Pudar and blew out Williams, I will pick peter by mid round KO.
Gotta love two hot heavyweight prospects colliding.Sam Peter is a good prospect but he will figure out the different between Jeremy Williams and Yanqui Diaz Saturday night.I think Yanqui Diaz wins by late round KO.
Wouldn't suprise me in the least, but he better not take one of those Nigerian nightmare bombs or it'll be snooze time. But yeah can totaly see Diaz wearing down that extra baggage Peters carries and gettin a late Rd stoppage.

Yes,it's gonna be televised. If not,it'l be a horrible night for boxing because I expect this Mayweather fight to be lopsided to the point of boredom

...Yes it is on the undercard and it should be interesting indeed.
