What do u think of Trinidad overall?

can anybody translate what trinidad was saying during his entrance in the de la hoya fight?

someone said tito doesnt do much in the ring but what he does do he does it great and with great accuracy you know yeah we all know he has power but still he has only lost once even though i thought de la hoya took him to school i wonder if in the rematch if it ever happens tito will beat de la hoya down i really hope there is a rematch and de la hoya finally finishes the job so they will finally consider de la hoya the great boxer that i believe him to be

Tito is not just an average fighter. he has fought everyone and beat them convincingly. As for the hopkins fight, hopkins was just too big for him, Tito still looked and fought like a welterweight. you can see the size difference clearly when you see the fight. Tito should get another chance with hopkins and it is quite probable that he will prove himself this time. what also makes this fighter great is that after coming from such a long period of inactivity, he took a fight with Mayorga (who is known for his freakish chin, power and knockout of vernon forest) and made him look like nothing and knocked him out with total domination. Now how many fighters have come back from retirement and shown this kind of ring generalship. Trinidad is one of the very few, and he is back to take his belts. Read my post again. I said average boxer not fighter. 2nd, he fought a blown up welterweight that had no business figting at 160lbs. Mayo has no defense & stood in front of Tito all night & it took him a while before fianlly getting him out of there. If Tito was confident he could take Bhop, then they'd be in talks for a future fight. Bhops would still give Tito the beat-down of his life because of his versatility.

Tito has got to be one of the best finisher today, maybe even all time. The kid can smell a KO from a mile away. He ain't the most graceful but he alway comes to fight. That's why I like the kid.

He is a brilliant offensive fighter but as you said he has problems with slick fighters...he is not a great offensive fighter against slick boxers....against Oscar and Nard he was anything but great...they moved around and gave him different looks and his power was disconnected... Tito is one of the greatest fighters of my lifetime, my point is that it is incredible to me to think about all of his holes and in the same breath think about is dominance as a fighter...ok you got me he has more than power, but power is the reason why he is great...if Tito had a good punch and not a great punch he would not be a great fighter.

"All Trinidad has..is power" Wrong. All Pipino Cuevas had was power. All Earnie Shavers, Cyclone Hart, John Mugabi had, was power. Trinidad is a brilliant offensive fighter. Unlike those mentioned above....he's patient...he throws beautiful punches.....he's economical....he's accurate...he sets his shots up... His defense is his biggest liabilty...but has obviously been good enough to make him one of the most successful (not just monetarily) fighters of the last twenty years. Name one PURE PUNCHER who has acheived what he has.... "He has trouble with slick boxers" Uhhhh, what fighter doesn't ?

I love to watch Tito fight and I think he is great fighter but some of you guys are pathetic. His KO power is greater than Hopkins which is obvious when comparing their fight against, but thats where his advantage ends. He is not a better boxer than Oscar nor Hopkins and his power did not increase after his layoff. The Mayorga KO only proved that anyone who drops their hands against a strong and accurate puncher is an idiot. Hopkins and Oscar's advantage over Tito is that they both have better skills and a better chin that him. His punching power was neutralized by Hopkin's strong chin and great boxing skills and it will happen again if they box again. Good Psot! Tito is a great fighter there is no doubt however I don't know if there is a fighter with his kind of flaws that will ever be as great as Tito. The guy can't box...he eats jabs for breakfast and routinely takes a seat on the canvas...when he was a young champion he was repeatedly outboxed the first four rounds of every fight...you would wonder what the fuck the hype is all about and then in the fifth the left hook would finally come and would change the entire fight if not end it. With Tito if you know how to box and move you can disconnect his power...he can't throw punches while moving...he just becomes an inactive follower. Not to bash Tito too much, he is as good a puncher as anyone I have ever seen (Ill Take the Hawk)and that power has made him great...again with Tito's skills it is amazing to me how great he truly is...but if we are taking a 360 degree look at Felix and being straight up as objective as possible the guy has and always will have serious holes in his game...his power is such that most of the holes are covered up. Hopkins and Oscar both exsposed him NArd finished what he had started and Oscar cruised...Tito will be outclassed again and I have a feeling it won't be by a guy who's name is as big as the above mentioned...I think Felix Sturm has some chance of beating Tito...he must move better than he did against Oscar but Sturm's jab is really good and if you watch the Joppy fight and the ten million jabs that bounced off Tito's face you know Sturm will at least equal that...hopfeully he knows how to keep his hands up.

I dont care for Tito at all but i admit he is a real good fighter. He has great punching power, a pretty solid chin, and he puts his punches together nicely. He struggles against real stylistic boxers but he has my respect. I say a 7 out of 10.

Tito is one dimentional, and if he was promoted by someone else besides King we wouldnt be talking about him. The only time Tito has been put against a fighter who can challange him he lost. B-Hop and Oscar. B-hop dominated him all night, and Oscar did the same until he backed off. And even when Oscar backed off Tito didnt do anything to win the rounds, Oscar just gave them away. People are also confused in beleiving Tito is back better than ever. It took him over 7 rounds to get rid of a out of shape welterweight fighting at Middle who didnt no how to box but just stick is face to block his punches. Also Tito got hit was to many times against a fighter who throw very wide shots that can be seen from a mile away. The only problem was that Mayorga didnt have the power to do damage at Middleweight although he did stunned Tito just once in the fight (not the knockdown). But since Tito is Don Kings son, he wont fight anyone who could pose a threat against him. So he will proably fight a few guys whos styles are made for Tito and end his career as a hero. Can you name a fighter in his prime whom Tito didn't take on?

Trinidad, in my 17 years on this planet, is the greatest fighter I have ever seen. Keep in mind, though, that I only started watching boxing seriously in 1999. The way he fights is just amazing. He was headed to the Hall of Fame by 1999, but the fight that made him a great was the Vargas fight. The way he finished so strong is amazing. You need alot of catching up to do, to actually have some idea what's boxing.

I see Tito as a phenomenal athlete. His frame is unimpressive but packs one of the biggest two-fisted punch pound for pound. He has a lot of natural stamina, as exhibited by his fight against Mayorga after months of inactivity. His heart is unquestionable.
