Well, it looks like the Vicious one is broke. I guess he should've taken the 750K to fight Hatton in England instead of the 50K he made to go to Germany and fight Urkal again. What a moron. I hope he takes a Cotto fight now so that he can make some money before going to the hospital.
A current title holder in one of the hottest division is broke. I don't beliefe that much, cause somewhere during the match against Urkal he told the German audience that he bought a house in Berlin. So I guess this is a way to breake with his promotor.
I would rather have Cotto fight Chop-Chop than Harris. He has plenty of experience with tall fighters who only hit with their right hands but he has never faced a southpaw professionally (and an elusive one at that). It's good preparation for bigger fights in the future such as Sharmba, Judah, and Spinks (all lefties). It's about time he got the southpaw experience. I've been calling for Chop-Chop since before he fought Pinto and he is finally going for him.
I'm not sleeping on Corley, either. I know that he is a good boxer and can pull out the UD but he doesn't have the power to keep Cotto honest or at bay. As soon as Cotto sees that Corley isn't a big puncher he will swarm him and attack his body relentlessly. After Corley I'm sure we will see a bigger step up in competition (probably Sharmba or Harris) before going for the winner of Hatton/KZ or Gatti. Cotto will make at least one more fight this year (after this one) and maybe two so if we see a lateral move from him expect another champ for his last fight in 2005.
Thats what everyone always says about power keeping people at bay but thats bull shit. You dont need great power. Boxing is an art. Look at Floyd, Spinks, Byrd, Ali. Besides Corley has more power then you think
I used to be a big fan of Vivian Harris but he done nothing recently apart from bitch like a girl , he has plenty of opportunity and is an ungrateful git. He even starting saying Kostas should not got to England because he is the champion and he should take his place. Please the idiot had his opportunity we his new manager Manny and who tells he get the fight in Detroit. If he is so good why has manny not put his money where his mouth is. Beside these guy like Manny steward who commentate on HBO but yet cannot get their so called fighter on the same network. If I was Harris I would sue my manager for doing not a decent job with his career
and he almost lost to N'Dou also. Floyd has already proven himself and he was the #1 contender to Gatti before they made him #1 for Harris.
The Pinto fight is gone now. He has fought Baily since and now Chop. Why hasnt he fought Harris still. He also better not sleep on Chop because he could lose

Well, Floyd has been Harris' mandatory for over 6 months and has he taken the fight? Nope! Why? Because he sees a better shot at beating Gatti and getting a title there (plus the recognition and money). Cotto had a choice: Pinto or Harris. Both were title fights but one would vindicate his two losses in the Amateurs and the other would just be the belt. He also chose Pinto, I think, because it was an easier fight but I can't blame him for that.
In all honesty, I think Cotto would beat Harris by late stoppage or UD. Harris' torso is too long and is a prime target for the body attack that Cotto brings to every fight. Ask N'Dou (one of the toughest fighters in the division) if Cotto's shots to the body don't hurt (he fractured one of N'Dou's ribs in the 4th round).

Do you forget that Cotto was the #1 contender to Harris belt for the longest and didnt stepup to fight him

He was the mandatory for like a whole year. They just recently dropped him and made Floyd the mandatory.
I think Harris has fought the better fighters with wins against M'Baye, Hurtado, and Urkal in Germany twice, once by KO. Cotto's only real solid win is against N'Dou and we still dont know how good he is.
I dont think Cotto was ready for the Harris fight last year, thats not saying he wouldnt have won but he's got a better chance now. I think Cotto wins that fight now.
There could be a couple of reason why Cotto passed up the mandatory place, one being the fact Harris is a no win situation, he's a tough guy with little reward(world title's dont mean as much as they once did)
I just hope Harris gets a decent fight soon, i think it was a chance missed against Hatton because i think Hattons the only 140pounder who would consider fighting him. I cant see anymore options for Harris at the moment unless he's makes it a Urkal trilogy  :D
every neutral guy has said that and stop analyzing everything I say clown. Just because I say that "I think" doesnt mean that I changed something I said before. Thats a general comment. Your getting to be a littile childish now. I made these type of threads before and it was overwhelming for Harris. I think it still is slightly infavor of Harris but my previous threads were before the Baily fight. Everytime Cotto has a fight the fans go crazy, even if they are against has beens and never was. They went crazy after he beat Pinto and more crazy after he beat Baily. I responded by saying that if Zoo or Floyd have beaten these guys everyone wouldve been criticizing them and if Harris did nobody would care and you know it
Yea I put in my post lol and just kiddin to try my damnest to keep it somewhat light hearted, You resort to calling me a clown, and I'm the one being childish?
If you really feel that a win over Bailey is so meaningless then you probably should refrain from putting his name out there when talking up Harris' accolades. And last but not least try not to tell me what I know and don't know, I can't help it if Harris doesn't get as much respect and credibility for what he does or doesn't do. But if he wants to change that then maybe he should try and actually fight someone in a big fight or even someone decent on an undercard of a big fight instead of showing up at all his potential oppositions big fights and talkin about how bad he wants a piece of them, After they just had a fight!
Oh Shit not again!!!!
Just Kiddin, I'm gonna just back away slowly and pretend that you actually learned something from the other thread. Oh well at least now your finally saying "I think" instead of " Everybody knows so you must be dumb". LOL, Baby Steps toward the truth dude Baby steps!

That something i havent looked at, i'll believe your right and he was mandatory for a long time.
IMO Cotto has taken fights against dangerous punchers and strong durable fighters, Harris hasnt fought anyone who's a real threat. thats why i consider Cotto career slighty more progressed.
When was Cotto mandatory?

There both at the same stage, if anything Harris is the one avoiding the dangerous fighters.

Harris has been wanting Cotto for the longest. Cotto's the one who hasnt steped up

I know that a lot of people like to bash vivian harris because of his big mouth, but the same folks felt the same way about tarver until he backed his sh*t up by cleaning jones clock. Hopkins also talked his way out of a lot of money in the past because he knew his worth and did all he could to not take any shorts, now he has alignd his self with de la hoya and is about to get paid...Harris may do the same...
Refresh my memory, which Jones conqueror proved to be better last December? Was it the big-mouthed cock? Or the humble warrior who didn't sit back and relax when he finally accomplished something big? To be honest, I really like Harris. But Tarver's a urethra.
The best thing for Harris to do from here is either Cotto if Tzyu wins in June, or Hatton if he pulls off the upset. Both those guys should be given a decent chance to beat him, but regardless, they're the best matches for him. He's just too unknown to take on anyone else and make a shitload of money. Cept mebbe Gatti or Mayweather, and they're otherwise engaged.
