Klitschko tempts Lewis
Lennox Lewis to make a comeback against Vitali Klitschko in November. That's the whisper picked up by Talk's man in Los Angeles.
Of course, there is a catalogue of "ifs". If LA-based Klitschko retains his WBC title, probably against Hasim Rahman, in May; if Lewis can lose the excess baggage around his waist; and, crucially, if the price is right.

This should, if it turns out to be true, calm all the V.Klitch fan begging for a rematch.
Unles Lewis is broke, he's a fool.
I don't know, since I'm not rich, so this may be hearsay, but many rich people just want to be more rich, they can never be content with what they have, they always want more...
After watching Tszyu and Tito both came back from 2 year layoffs with excelent results, I believe that Lewis can do the same. If they fight each other, I think Lewis will be better then he was in there first fight.
I guess you missed the memo, Tszyu is 35 and Tito is 32. Lewis is 39.
I think its in his blood. Lennox will come back only be put away by Vitali. Dont get me wrong Lennox was a really good figther but now he just eats chips all day and talks crap he will not be ready to jump write in with a hard hitter like Vitali.

it's the life of a true figther, a true warrior..
I don't think they can sit around and grow old... they crave to get back in there and battle, even if it hurts their legacy..
I don't think it hurt George Foreman's legacy too much to come back, he is still GEORGE, the MAN!!!
:)
If he comes back it is in a vain search of recognition of his legacy.
For some reason(s) Lewis never was a very populair HW champ and this might be brewing in his head.
(Lewis was in the public watching a fight there where many boos when he was announced, later when Tyson entered EVERYBODY cheered).
If he beats Vitali this will not change, if loses he becomes officially second to Vitali.

if vitali looks good in his next couple of fights i dont think lewis will comeback, but if vitali is a bit lackluster but still managers to win. Lennox may just then opt for a rematch

I would love to see a rematch. Put an end to the "Lewis running away scared into retirement" argument once and for all.
if there's one thing Lenox is more than smart, it's PROUD / ARROGANT... which can make him do stupid things... like fight again and risk injury to his old tiring body.
one thing to consider when talking about LL vs. VK.... Lewis did drop some SERIOUS bombs on VK. but LL is known for having a somewhat glass jaw. compare that with VK having a steel one and having NEVER been knocked DOWN, much less OUT. so if VK gets beat to hell chasing LL around, who cares??? as long as he eventually KOs the KOable LL, he will win (and as long as he doesn't get cut like he did before). Those bombs of LL won't help but so much, as proven in their previous fight... but if you recall VK did land a one-two that almost dropped LL.. ALMOST..
and all this talk about a beaten-by-Ruiz Rahman doing the job beating VK and saving the HW division spoken by all his nut-huggers is nonsense.
Boxing doesn't need Lewis. The day boxing needs one man is the day that I stop watching the sport alltogether.
I doubt he will ever come back, tho. I think Toney and Rahman are the future of the HWs right now. As soon as Rahman dispenses with Vitali (and having KOd Lewis once) most people will accept him as the new HW champ. Then he will fight Toney (because the Rock isn't afraid of anyone) and the winner will be considered by the people as THE champ.
This is another likely senario IMO because I think Rahman may beat Vitaly. If he does, I seriously doubt a Lewis-Rahman matchup will have the same drawing power as Lewis-Vitaly.
If he's not coming back, he sure is talking a lot of smack about everyone for a retired fighter. I never heard some guy brag so much about how much he could beat everyone after he hung up his gloes.
I think if Klitschko is still champ, Lewis will be back. I think so because after the last time I watched the Lewis-Klitschko fight, I was thinking here is a guy that Lewis can beat easily if he came in peak condition. Now, I'm sure some people will disagree with that last statement, but I stand by it 100%. All Lewis has to do is keep his jab going, he hit Vitaly with a couple really good jabs in there fight and Vitaly looked like he got hit with a steel pole. The jab is the key to this fight for Lewis, as he can land that monsterous upercut seemingly almost at will when Klitschko is in range. Plus, if he gets that jab working, the right cross will be there for the taking.
Klitschko is a good fighter, Lewis may be the only guy that is up to the task of beating him. If this fight comes off, Lewis will win.
My advice to Lennox Lewis is to stay retired. He is already near to the age of 40 (perhaps he is already 40 years) he will not be the champion he used to be in the past. Look at Evander Holyfield, this guy thinks he can still be the heavyweight champion of the world one day, but if you watched his last fights he acted like a punching bag. Lewis already made a lot of money, so enjoy the financial resource. He cannot save the heavyweight division.
boxing needs this really, lets do it again at staples center~!!!
even though i think lewis should stay retired, this is the biggest match up at heavyweight
