After fighting the 3 tough hombres in 2005, I predict Manny "PacMan the Destroyer" Pacquiao would be an American household name. He might be ranked the same as Tyson, Muhammad Ali, and Oscar Dela Hoya to name a few for name recognition.
I could see a scenario where in American house, Pacquiao's name could pop up in a conversation. Something like this:
Housewife #1: Hey friend, did you know PacMan the Destroyer would have another fight this coming month.
Friend of Housewife #1: Ow really, ooh I'm gonna go and see his fight he's an exciting fighter.
Husband #1: Are you guys talking about Manny Pacquiao again. I'm getting mad now. How come you guys don't let me in your conversation about Manny, what's the latest scoop?
And on year 2006, Hollywood producers might think of a film to put Manny as the star. Maybe "Bionic Man the Movie" or "The true to life story of Incredible Hulk." Those could work.
Later on, He would be invited to be a guest in Late night Sitcoms like, mmm Conan, David Letterman, and that guy with a good looking chin, or Johnny with his sidekick, and Manny as sidekick #2.
Johnny's Sidekick #1 would say: ha ha ha your right Johnny.
Johnny's sidekick #2(Manny) would say: ha ha ha I'M right Johnny.
Another year rolls, and Manny could endorse some American products, mmm like brandname shoes, got milk commercials, computer games and on and on and on. ;)
ooops, gotta go, my Boss might caught me stealing company time. he he. :D
Ya man. Impressed me too. I could have sworn it was gonna end in the second round but he actually took the next 5 rounds or so. What baffled me about Pac is that he just forgot about his right. Also I'm sure those power punches and left straights weren't even meant for the first round. Against tough opponents he ususally feels them out first then bring in the big shots when they're ready to go down. But when JMM connected with a straight right down the pipe, I think that ticked off Pac and he just unloaded his own straights. Mind you if he would have worked on JMM a bit first, those shots would have finished him off.
hey mooks, do you still have more pics of the pac-em presscon?
TO ALL WHO DOUBTED ME THAT MANNY WILL BE A WORLDWIDE PHENOMENON, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY NOW?. I'M THE GUY WHO PREDICTS THINGS IN THE FUTURE, BWA HA HA HA. :D
I agree, mooks.
However.....Marquez did impress me, greatly, with his comeback....& I think he exposed Pac quite a bit.
But....I sense that Pac will get to him more consistently in a rematch.

Pacquiao will win the rematch.
He is the far more dangerous fighter, & I see him having a big psychological advantage over Marquez.
JMM's gonna be overly wary of Pac's pop.....& will be too tentative to really keep Manny off of him.
Though I thought Marquez was going to win, & also wanted him to win, their first fight.....I thought Pacquiao won by a point or two.
Marquez had a slight edge in rounds won, but Manny's first round was huge.
People got carried away with "the drama of the comeback". So they give Manny the first or two then apparently he got swept. Yeesh

Not only I predict Manny "PacMan the Destroyer" Pacquiao will be a household name in Mainland America but also in Puerto Rico. Where his poster would hang in every living room all around the country. :p :D
WOW I SAW IT THE EXAM SAME WAY.
yes, and i watched the fight for at least 7 times now. it just shows that the "1-round for pac observation" is way too much exagerated and bias against pac. lederman had it 115-110 the same way the 2nd judge saw it for pac.
are you for real?
pppplllleeeeeeaaaassseeeeee!
marquez fears paquiao's power jajajajaja that 's a great joke :D :D
save that for some who doesn't know much about the sport

Where Marquez is from, their style of fighting is toe to toe. Marquez under estimated Manny "PacMan the Destroyer" Pacquiao and went toe to toe with Manny and did not even bother moving his head. Then Marquez caught Manny's left fist on his head, sending him three times to the canvass. Then what happened next, Marquez started to fear Manny's Left and moved his head from then on. Marquez stop being toe to toe with Manny. He became scaredy cat. Marquez Moved his head alot but Manny still managed to sneak some in. Peace though, no hard feelings.
Like someone said before who is manny pacquiao. you want him to be a house hold name. people dont even know how to spell his last name yet.
