I believe he has to fight his mandatory next which i believe is none other than Baby Joe mesi. Mesi has submitted medical papers recently trying to get cleared to fight but i don`t know if that is the next fight. Garanteed opponents not fighting Vitali are Don King boys as they are heading a March pay per view ( Golota/Brewster and maybe Ruiz`s mandatory against Rahman ).
James Toney the WBC number 2 ranked is an option but i don`t see it as he hasn`t fought cosistantly enough lately to wanna step in with the 6`7 Vitali.
Monte Barrett would be available if he beats Owen Beck ( ehhh, horrible one sided fight ) or Micheal Moorer ( double ouch ). I think either Vitali will fight a B level fighter or he will wait like eight months till an opponent of some clout can be found.
What are your thoughts. Remember, the question isn`t WHO should be next cos thats easy, Rahman, Ruiz, Byrd ( impossible matches, under King banner ) it is WHO will be the next opponent going by availability and promoters!
Rahman/Barrett won't be the champ because from what I understood a current champion cannot lose their belt on account of being injured. This interim title is pure bullshit.
ya but its don king, we can take the abc123 title and turn it into the champ title

The official word came down from Jose Sulaiman and Don King that Barrett is facing Rahman on July 23rd for the WBC interim title and then the winner will face Vitali Klitschko possibly in September for the true title.
it might even be later then that u know how don king is about that shit. o rahman is the wbc champ now blah blah he is the champ and u r not u got hurt blah blah options for your soul or no fight!!

Pretty much. He was fighting another overweight bum, albeit shorter, with love handles.
I'll see about getting it posted tomorrow or so.
Thanks. If you post it, could you PM me? I have never seen a Valuev fight.
Was it awefull?

I thought that Ruiz is one, but I have not checked carefully.
How do you know Valuev is hairybacked?
Valuev-Ruiz will be the most boring fight in the history of HW championship bouts.
I saw a Valuev fight that was posted in the downloads.
He would be the first hairybacked champion of the 21st century.
Sorry, second, I forgot about Christy Martin.

Yes, but a loss would hurt potential future earnings. Why doesn't Vitali just sign with Don King? He could get Kali Meehan next at just 50 dollars to us and another guaranteed win!
If these economic considerations take place, this means that Vitaliy may not be entirely confident of the outcome of his fight with Rahman.
But he KOed Vidoz by punching on his SHOULDERS.
I wonder if he manages to land a punch on someone's chin, what that be an instant KO?
So far I hear that Valuev is not a good boxer at all.
I liked his interviews though that I have read in the Soviet Sport. He seems to ve very intelligent. I doubt that he would take on VK or WK at this point of his career.

Won't the Rahman fight or a unification bout with Byrd make more money?

You mean Valuev. That guy is 7.2 and 320. I saw him fight and he did not impress me at all. Too slow, does not have the power to back up his size, does not throw combinations much, not explosive at all.Only fought bums.
Yes, his KO rate is not high, but he KOed Vidoz, an Olympic bronze medalist, by punching on his SHOULDERS.

I think Klitscko wantgs an easy defense before facing a Rahman, Byrd or Toney. I guess so far he has done everything asked of him and deserves a hometown defense. I think it might be that guy who beat Gerard Nobles a few month back or some one like Micheal Moorer, low risk payday!
