Tarver and Johnson Overated

Johnson beat two of the very best in his division in a 4month span.Yes,Jones was shot and Tarver is overrated but they were the best and Johnsons beat them both.Right now,he has got to be considered a top10 p4p fighter,Comeback Fighter of the Year and not to mention The Fighter of the Year. I was trying to hit you back on this last night but my computer fucked up. I wrote something but it wouldnt go through. I think that I wrote that I can agree with that. I dont know about comeback fighter, but I wouldnt mind if he got fighter of the year. All I was trying to say is what you said above about Tarver and Jones. I also wouldnt mine putting Johnson in the top 10. Like I said I like him and he's a solid fighter but he's also a great guy. I like to root for the underdogs and guys who always come up on the short end

Tarver, following his meetings with Roy could not have been under-rated. Over-rated? possibly. He can't seem to win the close big ones. But Johnson, if anything, was under-rated. In his two meetings with Woods, he was not given too high a regard; and Woods was and is not highly regarded either. When, he met Roy, many sneered and looked beyond the match. Until hours ago, many still thought he was not cast from good mould. If I have to rate Johnson based on his last two fights, I'd rate his heart and resolve as stratospheric; his skills, pedestrian. :o :)

Johnson's made a great comeback, but to put him in the company with guys who have fought careers with only a couple losses or less isn't quite fair. He's more on a "streak." but he fought many more fights boxing was also a part time business for GJ he made his living as a construction worker (!!!) so, taking a close look at his career, GJ is quite exeptional

I am a fan of both of them and more of Johnson. I like them alot and I think their good fighters, just not #for#. Theres nothing wrong with not being #for#. Theirs a million fighters and only a few make it. I try to tell my friend JPBoxer that these guys are solid fighters but nothing special. They both are living off of wins over a washed up RJ. HBO was trying to talk this fight up like it was great, but to me it was boring for the most part and both seemed to be out of gas after the fifth. JPBoxer tried to tell me that Johnson was a World Class fighter because he beat Jones and Clinton Woods. He said that if he beat Tarver then he would put him ahead of Floyd. I told him that Woods was a nobody, Jones was wahed up and Tarver is overated and just living off the Jones win. Tarver should have never been ranked that high in the #for# rankings. Like I said, both of them are solid but nothing special and should not be ranked in the #for# rankings. Tarver was high on the p4p list, but won't be after tonight, even if he had won he would have slipped. Lt. heavy is pretty weak, but so are heavy and cruiser. Most of the top p4p's are between 126-160.
