South Korean businessman-sportsman Kusung Lee, who manages World Boxing Council featherweight champion Injin Chi, said that if Pacquiao fought Injin Chi last night (Dec 11), the flamboyant Filipino southpaw would have been knocked out, adding Fahsan was “too small, not a top-class fighter but brave.”- Manila Standard 12/13/04
Team Pacquiao, particularly Roach and Lenny de Jesus, admitted that Pacman was off-form and not in peak condition the night he KO'd 3K. But would Injin Chi have done better? Could he have really KO'd Pacman if he was in 3K's place? You can just imagine what would have happened to 3K if Pacman was 100%!!!!
Chi could have K.O.ed Pac? :D Yeah if that was Chi in that ring . . . and Pac is in such condition . . . maybe . . . we'll never know. But do you think team Pac knowing how durable and game Chi is . . . wouldn't have brought Manny to L.A. to train much much earlier? :D Of course Pac would have gone through a very different and extensive preparation just like what he did for MAB and JMM fights if he is going against Chi.
On the other hand that showing might be on Pac's advantage because Chi's handler might be influenced by that Pacs performance and that they might under estimate our guy and go for a Pac/Chi tussle without so much ado. Reading between the lines . . . Chi's manager releasing statements like that. . . simply means he doesn't want his ward to be out of the picture.
Good point. I think they're drumming up Chi (by using Pacman's name) to boost his marketability. Chi, like Scott Harrison and JMM, while champions, on their own are not in the same "big money" league as Pacman, MAB and EM.
THRILLA
IJChi gave Morales one hell of a challenge, El Terrible couldn't put him away (EM's fist would've been hurt by all those hard shots he's dishing out to Chi's head & body from rounds 1 to 12!). EM's left eye was badly swollen after that fight, not even MAB was able to do that to EM, right?
Chi also gave then-WBC champ Michael Brodie a very tough competition, he was actually declared the winner by SD but was later reversed. He finally TKO'd Brodie in their rematch.
Pac will destroy Chi, his style is the exact opposite of JMMarquez. Just one direction - forward attack.
But, I'm not so sure if his feet will "fly" off the canvass like this 'cause he's a big featherweight. :)

i absolutely love injin chi. the guy is a piece of concrete windmilling punches. not sure if he can take mannys bombs though, but if his chin held up hed definately give him fits. 3k battery did look like a boy against a man in there, how tall is he 5'3?
he's 5'3" and has a 23" reach against manny who's 5'6" and has a 24.5" reach.
