Its funny how things change, on Tszyu website his fans have been calling Hatton a bum last week but now the negotiations have progressed their all saying Hattons a very good fighter, some saying he's world class!! :D
What do you guys think? I'm unsure, IMO Hatton has the tools to win but he's never faced a fighter anywhere near as good as Tszyu!! It could be an early KO for Tszyu but i'm expecting it to be a tough fight for both.
So, either one fighter knocks the other one out or it goes to a decision? Wow, great analysis
Anyway, just as Mayorga was "taylor-made" for Tito so, too, is Ricky "taylor-made" for the Tszyuperman. I don't see this fight going past 6, honestly.
Who is this guy 'Taylor' that you speak of?
Oh, sorry...........You must have meant 'Tailor?' ;)
I predict a tzyu KO after 5 and a half brutal rounds. I think they'll slug it out with both guys landing good shots but Tzyu landing more and better shots and with Tzyu banging Hatton with hooks whenever they fight on the inside.
People closely watching Hatton's career (fans or otherwise) should know that he shouldn't be stepping-up to Kostya quite yet.
Despite all the careful handling, Hatton is simply not ready for a true first-tier fighter. Right now, he needs a bit more "care" before stepping-in with a Kostya.
Hatton might think he's mentally ready, but I'm not sure that he's got the necessary mental toughness to enter a tier-one slugfest. Right now, I think Ricky's "I don't give a Fuck" attitude cannot be effectively molded into true mental toughness without woking his way up to a Kostya bout.
Hatton might think he's got the chin and conditioning to survive good clean shots (Kostya will hit him ya' know) but Hatton's never been in there getting tagged by a first-tier banger who keeps throwing. Ricky needs a bigger challenge than he's had so far, but not quite Kostya, not yet.
Hatton's careful handling could be his undoing, because he now really "believes" that he can beat Kostya, without ever fighting at that level. Sure he's got "a" belt, but it's not been starpped to the top-tier guys.

Should be a great fight. Both love the close up in fighting. Hatton is a body puncher predominantly and had better have done his homework regarding Kostya's lethal right. Hatton will dig in a left to the the body & Kos will counter with his right.
I have a feeling in my bones that Kostya will finally meet his match.
However, I'm not putting my house on this one. My wife, maybe...but not the house!
i read somewhere last week that if tzsyu does'nt fight him, the ibf will strip tzsyu and hatton will fight lovemore n'dou for the title. so either way he's in a major fight next year.
Yeah, I've heard that a few times too. I hope it is KT though as I can already hear the "paper champion" bullshit comments that will be coming his way if he does fight N'dou for it. :D
Tszyu does everything better than Hatton and is 10x stronger. Hatton will win some rounds on volume alone, but HE not Tszyu will recieve the most damage. Tszyu KO10.
Hatton hasn't really impressed me much.I think a fight with Gatti at this point makes much more sense than stepping up and fighting Tszyu as your first real test
he has also fought in the states and is fighting in london next week so all this manchester thing whilst having a point is overhyped in some areas.
I hate it when people doubt Hatton's ability based on where he's fought!!
If people took the time to look at his record they would see different venues in England and trips abroad to the US and Germany(like you said)!! Not to mention the amateurs, where he's even been to Cuba and beat one of there top guys!!
Although i couldnt care less if Hatton had fought every single in Manchester, once you step through them ropes it doesnt matter where your fighting!! Its you against them!!! :D
Although im not a fan of Hatton he has beat some top opponents.
Eammon Magee
Ben Tackie
Vince philips
Mike stewart
couple of others.
But he lives in Manchester fights in Manchester he's never travelled anywhere that is probably partly due to warren making a killing with 10.000 fans every fight. To get the respect he has to travel to america. He is flawed Cuts is a big weakness.
Magee had him beat he stunned him in the first round with a knockdown. Tried the rope a dope which didnt work.
Tszyu would beat him though. Cotto could beat him.
I did think Cotto was Hatton's biggest threat last month but i have watch Ndou/Pinto vs Cotto a couple of times since and i can see Hatton giving him hell! Ndou roughed him up and he didnt like it too much, I think Cotto's a great fighter/talent but he shouldnt fight Hatton at this stage!! Even if Cotto beat Hatton he would get roughed up a long the way, i cant see Hatton losing without dragging the opponent into a war!!
I now think Tszyu is the hardest fight for him!! Tszyu punches hard enough to avoid a war with Hatton, if Hatton is to win he will have to take big risks and go for the KO!! If Mitchell can hurt Tszyu(which he did) then its possible that Hatton could KO him!!

fair point, mate. hopefully we'll see next year.
Hopefully. I'm losing a bit of interest in watching him these days as you already know what's going to happen because he's way too good for anyone outside the top 6 or 7. He definitely needs to step it up against someone next year.
hey sorry man, i'm not trying to belittle ricky, i've been up to the men a couple of times to see him. like i said he's good to watch. but if he fights tzsyu next year he'll get beat. but i agree with you about coming back stronger, and tzsyu won't be around much longer.
I didn't mean to jump on you but I don't understand how people can say that as he's not been tested at that level so we don't know either way. He's done nothing but take care of everyone that he's ever fought pretty damn easily. I just think that even if he does lose, he'll make a much better effort of it than Mitchell, Judah and most of the others before him and nobody was saying they were well out of his league. :)
What makes you say that? Were all of KT's other victims way out of his league too? Even if he does lose to him, I don't think it would be badly and there's no shame in being ko'd by Tszyu. He'd learn from it and would be able to come again.

Is that a real story?

BELOW FROM HE BRITISH BOXING NET OCT 28TH AUTHOR CHRIS CURRY.
In a special ring appearance, Wayne Alexander, who is now part of the Breen Team, entered the ring with his WBU title belt that he won against Takaloo in one of the most devastating knockouts seen in a British ring. Also, the remarkable recovery of Eamonn Magee was cheered as he too displayed his WBU title belt in the ring. The Terminator Magee looks set to be back.
