I know this maybe a little early with some big fights left in the next month.
So Far
5.cotto/pinto
4.Vitali/C.Sanders
3.Freitas/Corrales
2.Trinadad/Mayorga
1.Manny/Marquez
Tarver/Johnson could be good if Johnson throws as many punches as he did agaisnt RJJ because Tarver will not get beat on but instead do exactly what roy didn't do and that is counter those flurries.
Barrera/Morales III will either be filled with excitment or be just another 50 dollars you spent on pay per view when you realize you should have waited for the rerun of the fight a week later on HBO.
Vitali/Williams I see this as being one of the best heavyweight fights we have seen in years with a MAJOR UPSET. These 2 styles should mold together well
MAB-Morales wasn't the fight of the year...it was a fight you just watched that was very exciting. Round 11 of MAB-Morales, Round 1 of Pacquia-JMM, or Round 10 of Jirov-Mesi.

No offense but why in God's name would Cotto-Pinto be a fight of the year candidate? Might as well throw Floyd-Corley and Hatton-Stewart into the mix.
At what point was Vitali vs. Sanders ever a contender?
Tonight's fight was decent, but despite the judges scores, too one-sided for me (same with Trinidad-Mayorga). I'm partial to Lacy/Vanderpool but, pressed, I would probably say Marquez vs. Pacquaio.
Manny v JMM and Vitali v Sanders are my picks. For 1 man getting his ass beat for 8 rounds with a loud crowd that made it seem more interesting than it should have been, I'd choose Tito v Mayorga. I consider a Fight of Year a fight that has both fighters dealing out equal damage...
i think the best fight so far has been Vitali vs Sanders or De La Hoya vs Hopkins
I'm happy I'm not the only one who enjoyed De La Hoya/Hopkins..It was a good match to me..
