Calzaghe calls out Tarver/Johnson Winner!!

Calzaghe has absolutely no credibility. If you're afraid to travel into America to fight (mind you, we are the boxing capital of the world), then you're nothing but a protected fighter.

if any of you guys had seen him fight, you would rate him as a good fighter. Please stop going on a bout Jeff Lacy because he hasn't fought anyone. You sound like idiots who know nothing about boxing! Joe calzaghe would have beaten Glen Johnson if they had fought and just because he dropped out because of personal reasons doesn't mean he was scared. how many fights has tyson dropped out of because of personal reasons, was he ever scared??? The fact is that the fight was re-scheduled and johnson simply chose to fight Roy Jones instead for more money.Joe won 3 consecutive british aba's, in three different weights (our national amatuer championship) and has not lost as a pro so show him the respect he deserves! and if you don't know anything about a fighter then don't make judgements!

Lacy ain't even in the same league as Calzaghe yet, give him a couple of years and maybe yes but certainly not now. There's really nothing out there at 168 thats gonna trouble Joe, Lacy and Kessler are probably the best but they haven't really done much. I admit he does need to fight in america and definetly at 175, he looked bad in his last fight and he struggled badly to make the weight. He had his chance against Johnson in June but he pulled out due to personal issues, probably won't get another one the way things are going!

Trust me, Calzaghe doesnt look that big but he's a heavy guy. He struggles to make weight every fight, he will struggle to make weight at light heavy because he will pack on extra muscle, i think he will finish his career at cruiser.

Calzaghe was too big for super middle while Lacy was still in the ams, Calzaghe has been talking about this for a very long time. Calzaghe's no pussy, i dont really like his style but he's not the type of fighter to back down because he's 100% confident he is the best.

Calzaghe's been talking about moving to light heavy since before Lacy was on the scene as one of the top guys so I don't think that's true. We'll see if what Lacy says and what he really wants are the same thing. There's not much that he brings to the table that Calzaghe couldn't handle at this point and I think he'd get a bit of a boxing lesson and probably stopped late if they were to fight any time soon. 2 or 3 years down the line when Calzaghe's slowed a bit and Lacy's got more experience it could be a different story though.

lacy is just a kid. when he gets a bit more credibility they may fight. calzaghe would take both jhonson and tarver in my opinion. although they are both good fighters no one said shit about either before they beat a washed up jones. now people talkin about p4p. calzaghe would ko both of them in the later rounds. if they ever fought id bet all my points.

Don't talk about risks with Calzaghe, why didn't he go over to the states to fight jones? He was pissing himself that's why...hell Green, Kessler or Mundine would kill him. Why doesn't he fight any of these guys? They are better fights than moving up to light-heavy. Calzaghe hasn't taken a risk in his entire life!! I agree. yea, in all probability. He might take the fight, but he would lose rather bad I think.

He's the champ at 168, that's not a situation where there's no reward for fightiing him. I think that he wants to stay away from good 175 lbers and find a quick way to fight the champ.

this guy's been talking for awhile. too bad that's all he does. he'll fight those guys for a huge payday, a venue in his hometown, the ref of his choice, and some UK judges. And of course if Tarver said okay, he'd find a money reason to back out. You are totally correct, he wanted no part of RJJ in his prime, but he walked around for photo opps in a t-shirt that called out RJJ. Funny, that was the ONLY thing involving Roy Jones that he would get into - because it certainly wasn't going to be a RING! :eek:
