As a special preview for HBO Boxing fans, HBO Sports will present the exclusive re-broadcast of the first two chapters in the exciting rivalry between Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera when the presentation MORALES-BARRERA I & II airs Friday, November 26 (10:00 p.m. ET/PT) and Saturday, November 27 (4:00 p.m. ET/PT) on the HBO2 service.
This special preview will treat fans to the 24 incredible rounds of boxing generated by these two Mexican warriors in their first two showdowns. Morales took the first fight in 2000 by split decision and Barrera got the unanimous verdict in the 2002 rematch.
Remarkably, many observers felt the decision in both fights should have gone the other way. Now the two future Hall of Fame champions will meet for a third and final showdown on Saturday, Nov. 27 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in an HBO Pay-Per-View event (9:00 p.m. ET/ 6:00 p.m PT).
"There is no better way to get ready for the next chapter of Morales-Barrera than watching the first two encounters," said Mark Taffet, Senior Vice President, HBO Sports Operations and Pay-Per-View.
