I know that boxing is about making money, but why does it seem like Gatti and his people are finding every reason in the world not to face the other top lightweghts out there. I really don't think he as good a fighter as the make him out to be...he blocks evey punch with his face and that is why we won't fight a tszyu, mayweather, cotto or harris...I know many don't think much of harris, because we don'y see much of him but in the two fights I have seen him in he was dominant...but back to gatti I think that him as his people know that if he fights any of the elite 140lbers he will get knocked the f*ck out....

Gatti head first and absorbing punches. ;)
(btw for people who never saw him fight, gatti is the guy in the white trunks)
Gatti's a true warrior!, they don't make guys like that any more. that man is all heart, he'd die fighting trying to win, someone other than him would have to stop the fight or he'd have to get ko'd cold or get counted out, he'll never quit. but a fight with KT, would be a blood bath, for both. that fight would be seriously one of the most ruthless fights of our era, even if it went one round. i really wish it happens cause it brings up a good question, how would either guy handle the fight? we know KT can hit hard, and Gatti can hit hard too........ i wanna see it!!
Me too !!!
I know I shouldn't even respond to posts by a kindergartener, but Gatti would have suffered multiple anal wounds after Tszyu rips into 'em with a blitzkrieg type assault in the 1st round if they end up fighting, which will never happen. For safety reasons according to Gatti's promoters!
Please I urge you to NEVER respond again!
Anal wounds? You are a darkroom guy or something?

I am not sure I would give him very much of a chance against Tszyu. I don't know if his face would be able to stand up against all of the compact heavy punches he would be receiving from Kostya. I doubt that Gatti is a coward like some of you are suggesting though.
Sharmba Mitchell couldn't get out of the way of KT's right hand! How on earth would Gatti?
Sometimes to avoid a right hand power shot is not to backup to far. Tszyu can land his right from a long distance (Jake the snake Rodriques). Also when Mitchel decided on survival first, he gave Tszyu all the time to pick his shots. Aiming while "under fire" is more difficult.
Obiviously you have not seen many of either guys fights. Gatti leads with his face and KT is by far the heaviest puncher in the division. What does this add up to to you? I can't see Gatti changing styles to pull out a pretty victory
Lol, are you really sure you have seen these guys box?
Since Buddy McGirt is in Gatti's corner, Gatti changed style from brawler to boxer. Sometimes Gatti brawling abilities (especially in the first fights with Buddy McGirt in the corner) will resurface, because the guy appearently likes it. Agains Dorin, Gatti boxed and boxed until that beautiful body shots.
Tszyu is a talent on his own. His power is unquestionable, and his movement is very effective, and had fast footwork (in closing the distance). But with his backward leaning evading style, he gets hit AND sometimes wobbles afterwards.
Gatti got some power too.
To my opinion it will be an exciting fight and tough fight. Tzsyu is the favored to win on my card, but he will not ruin Gatti and Gatti is not without a chance to win.
I don't think it's that much of a runaway as many think. Gatti has learned to box in the last few years and would do a good job at moving away from KZ's right. Kostya loads up waaaaaaay too much with that hand and it should be easy for Gatti to get out of there before he gets hit with it. I'm not saying I think he'd win but it would be a closer fight than most people believe. I say KZ wins by SD.

Yes, and I am not so sure KT would ruin Gatti.

Personally I think it's more about smart money management than being a coward. He may be alot of different things, but I could never consider him a coward. It just doesnt fit ;)
Yeah, a coward he is not, but I do think he is overmatched against the top guys and his management team is smart to keep him away.

Gatti's people have always shamelessy protected him. They never let him fight Mosley, Johnston, Navrov or Hernandez when he was down at 130 and now that he's up at 140 they wont let him fight Tszyu, Floyd, Cotto...etc.
They know that he's an average fighter at best.
It's not so much Gatti's camp as much as it is HBO. HBO has a dispute with Showtime about money and the money is good enough to risk their most exciting fighter against a human shredder like Kostya Tszyu. I do believe that it is mainly the fault of Gatti's camp about not fighting Mayweather, though.
It's simple. The two guys want the fight but it wont happen.
One contracted to HBO and the other to Showtime and these to companys dont get on and is the reason why we dont get all the big fights because of this. These guys are destroying boxing.
Gatti knows the end is near for him and he doesn't want his last fight to read KO'd By....................
Gatti deserves a couple of pay days and a couple of cream puffs to end his career..............
You can't call any professional fighter a coward much less a former champ. Gatti's group is trying to prolong his career and fighting Tszyu now would do just the opposite. Gatti's fighting style would unmercifully fit hand to glove with Kostya's. It would be very much like Delahoya - Gatti.
