i admit i had fallen victim to this so called drug theory for wlad
but i just rewatched his fight with brewster
and wtf was i thinkin
he just could hurt brewster
and many of his shots were even landing flush
when ever brewster landed a punch he cleary hurt wlad
wlad was just an idiot who couldnt manage his punch count
and faced a guy that could hurt him more then wlad more then wlad hurt him
i take it all back
Brewster gtes my props for beating wlad
but i dont know about that meehan fight
is mccline as hard a hitter as brewsters record suggest?
On paper I would say no, but his poor KO % seems to be more from his cautiousness than from his lack of power. So in reality with taking that into account and the fact that McCline's opponents are head and heels above Brewster's, I would say that they are fairly close in power.
I'm not sure that that's the case. I don't see him landing anything to body in the 1st round besides a jab, a low blow, and a fairly good one with 7 seconds left in the round. The one thing people forget is that McCline landed quite a few body punches during their fight, which was clearly more than Brewster landed.

im not saying he didnt get tired
but to say that is why he lost it isnt fair to brewster
in the first round brewster landed one or two good shots that cleary hurt wlad
so all im saying is im changing my previous brewster got lucky and wlad was in a seemingly awkard situation
to a
Wlad didnt know how to budget his offense when a guy can take his hits
and the other guys punches have the same if not greater effect
I think what caused his loss was, Brewster hit Wlad with a really good shot to the body early in the fight that seemed to wind him. Wlad changed his expression and he walked back gasping for air at the end of the round.
Yea he was kind of getting hit with the hard shots because he couldn't put up his hand to defend from pure exhaustion.
Exactly. How long would ANY boxer last with his hands down against a puncher? We saw what happenned to Lewis when he got hit with perfet punches.
I agree. Remember in Vlad's earlier, more dominant performances, he wasn't getting touched cause guys were too afraid too get near him (ie J. McCline stagging when Vlad feigned). The big question with Vlad pre Corrie Sanders was what would he do when he got hit. Answer: He folds. He can't help it, he tries to fight through it, but he will lose everytime a decent opponent hits him of the chin. He's been as high (much higher than he should've gotten) as he'll ever be. Now we just need to see the samething happen to Vitali, and maybe we won't have to listen to the hype. Mind you I know Vitali's better, but is an opinion forum. That is to say: I hope (and thisnk it very likely) VK goes down sooner than later
I suppose Lewis was not a real hitter then, according to your logic,

Thats because he was exhausted by the second round. Its a lot harder to take a punch when you are exhausted.
