Tarver is great now?

Glen Johnson isn't anything great, but he's the No. 1 contender out there and the next logical fight for Tarver. Or the linear champion.

he narrowly lost to Jones the first time. He is far too overrated. Beating Johnson will do nothing. Tarver is a phony. People want to call him great because he has a fan friendly accesble personality. fuck him. Wow. What a hater. He beats RJJ convincingly and he sucks? If Tarver were Roy Jones, like after RJJ beat Toney, he'd be fighting competiton like Rick Frazier, Otis Grant, Derrick Harmon, the milkman, the guy at the barber shop and the hobo catching the train. If Tarver is dogshit, what does that make Jones for losing to him and getting KTFO'd by him??? I dont think Tarver is great. Just good. Greatness comes over time that has to be earned.

he's really alot of "hype" at this point Hype much like the guy in your sig. A paper champion whose never beaten a legit top 10 fighter

I dont think Tarver will ever be considered "Great".He'l be known for being the first to KO Jones Jr but thats about all he'l be known for because Johnsons whoopin Tarver December 18th! IMO,the winner of Tarver-Johnson should be named FIGHTER OF THE YEAR

He showed he had no heart in his loss to a past prime jones and got his ass beat by harding. only real claim to fame is his loss to jones then of course the knock out win. The KO of jones looked impressive until a tough journeyman did it again a few months later. Tarver is way overated.

Tarver is good, great... i haven't seen enough to believe it. i think he'll beat Johnson, however, i'd rather see Johnson win. Everyone is taking it for granted that Johnson is a bum and Tarver will walk right through him. Maybe so, maybe i hate Tarver for Koing RJJ ( i don't hate tarver, i just don't like him ). Sorry guys, i like Glencoffe Johnson, maybe the Jamaican hasn't found his prime as fighter until now

yea he'll cruise by johnson, but at this point I think you'll just have to wait and see how good he is

i don't know if he should be in the P4P list...but for sure he's not in my "I will pay to see him fight" list. The only way he headlines a PPV is if he fights Hopkins. Otherwise, he's an undercard or a free fight. If Roy Jones would foolishly schedule him for his return match, it would be PPV too I guess.

ya hell get by GJ but that wont mean squat to me either there is no LH he can beat at this point to merit me considering him an elite maybe if he moves up to the HW and beats a good guy

I wont be surprised if he gets past GJ. But I still think that he has A LOT more to do to be able to become great.
