right first off tackie was coming off two losses, one to Sharmba mitchell and one to Kostya for the undisputed titles, both went the distance so I dont think that at the time thats a bad match up, secondly Hatton cannot keep defending his titles against blown up lightweights (as has cotto until recently, sosa, juuko :eek: who was a super feather weight actually, horrible match that was) :eek: the public has caught on, his last fight was only half full against Stewart and finally he said on air and in the press he is willing to travel to fight Kostya in vegas. give the kid a break, its become fashionable to bash hatton and big up cotto. I prefer to give both fighters the credit they deserve.

Tackie was not a springboard for a TITLE fight though. Hatton has too much to lose to face a guy who's stock just FELL in the deepest division in boxing. If Warren tries that shit, Ricky should bolt. Unfortunately, Hatton is tied to Warren to tight. He can't leave his money maker. I don't even think Warren wants Hatton to ever take a real title fight...why take the risk when he can put his boy in the MEN and make boat loads of cash fighting has-beens and nobodies. Its unfortunate for Hatton, I really believe he wants to prove himself, but Warren has the leash too tight.

I would disagree, his most dangerous opponent to date was Ben Takie, a guy who was comming off of 3 consecuative losses. Textbook Frank Warren, hit them when they are down. Like I said, its all speculation, but I wouldn't very surprized if Mitchell is announced as Hatton's next opponent....after he fights Ray Oliveria :rolleyes: .

Hatton is not going to face a guy who just got KO'D! Undefeated guys do not need this when they're ranked number one!

If I think too hard, I remember that there's an article on the front page saying he's trying to schedule Tszyu. You still don't know what you're talking about. There is also an article saying that KT isn't going to fight again. Its all speculation, like my prediction that Hatton will fight Mitchell. Do you believe everything you read? .....going to most likely be non other than Mitchell. Think about it. Frank Warren wants Hatton in with a "name" guy, but one that is, A. Over the hill or B: Coming off of a loss. We will go with B this time. Mitchell can't argue about money now that he has been beat so bad and any money offered for this fight will be more than he will get with anyone else at this point. Hatton is on his way up, but i would tell him to steer clear of Cotto, he beat viv harris, and tsyzu would be a defining fight, but lets see if frank warren takes of the cotton wool of the hitman!
