its funny readin the first few posts on this thread, the hype about lacy was a joke, and the nagativity towards cal..

I'm extremely disappointed in Lacy. He was an overhyped fighter extremely in my opinion. That being said, I don't think Calzaghe is anything special. Lacy was just a poor fighter that many people exagerrated. Did you watch that fight? No one could have touched Joe that night. His work rate alone makes him "special".

I'm not tryna bash him I think he's a good fighter but he's too talented to not have better challenges by now and from here on out. I know PPL will say nobody wanted to fight him but we all know if him and his team wanted to they could've made these fight's. I think Calzaghe is very talented and has had a good career but I hear PPL on here bash Tarver and RJJ and even PBF about who they've fought and basically scrutinizing their moves. But to be 35 and to say Hall of famer's ducked and are scared of you but their bigger names in the sport and have better resumee's by far so like the younger and less experienced Lacy showed balls and fought him on his soil and gave credit in defeat. Why can't Calzaghe have done this by now? Hang hang! Calzaghe wanted the big fights, and offer was made to Bernard Hopkins and all it needed was Hop`s signiture and he didn`t sign. Calzaghe has never ducked anyone. They have avoided him. As for the bullshit regarding Joe`s `weak` chin, that is a fairy tale. Robin Reid, Brewer and Mitchell tested it. Yes, Joe got caught and went down but he got straight back up and ended the fight seconds later. How the hell does a man with a bad chin get knocked down and then stops the guy a minute later. If Joe had been hurt he would have backed off. Thats like saying Muhammad Ali had a bad chin when he was floored by Brit Henry Cooper. for my money 37 fights unbeaten with one flash knock down does not consitute a bad chin. Danny Green would not want to fight Joe and Lacy would sooner dive off the statue of liberty rather than fight Joe. Realize that Joe is the real deal and if these payday hungry wanna bes were to fight him we`d all find out! I just thought I'd dig up a few interesting threads.
