Any Jirov Fans/Haters here?

YEs Kimmy!!! i'd love to see Jirov KO John Ruiz!!

Jirov would be beaten by Wlad. The size difference would be too much and Jirov just isn`t quick enough to jump in with the shots he`d need to knock Wlad out. If he is staying in the heavys, Moorer is a great fight for him but i`d also like to see him in with a Ruiz or a James Toney rematch. I don't know. If Lamen Brewster Can survive Wlads onslaught why not Jirov? Remember Wlads just needs to be tagged nicely on the mug. Jirov whiskers are definetely stronger then Wlads. Joe Mesi couldnt get a KD after 8 rds of basicaly free shots! Toney is the only one to get a KD and thats after Jirov threw like 1500 punches! Plus he got up at the count of like 1. I think that fight would be awsome. It would be a close fight with the win going to Jirov if it were to goto the later rds and If wlad can KO him in the early rds!

I would LOVE to see Jirov/Wlad. My heart will be broken: Jirov is my favorite fighter, and Wlad is Tatyana's. I will have to abstain from making any comments.

why would he want to go back down? So he can only be seen on Fox? He just needs a win at heavy and we'll be back on track. After Moore I honestly think he should go after Wlad! I would LOVE to see Jirov/Wlad.

Cruiserweight = Lost Division Jirov is definitely among the best to ever fight at cruiserweight, but there's no money there. The Cruiserweights that most people remember are those who stepped up to Heavyweight and won. The rest, regardless of their skills, are footnotes in boxing history. I don't blame Jirov for wanting to step up to Heavyweight and try to grab a big purse or two before he retires. He certainly deserves the money as he's always been an entertaining fighter, and he deserves some recognition beyond the regular, devoted boxing fans. Besides, what better time could he have picked to make the move? It's not like the competition is extrodinary right now. I agree. Cruiserweight = no money $$$ ;)

Jirov has that awkward fighting style but his workrate is impressive, like a logger cutting down a tree not by a chainsaw but with an ax! His fight with Toney was one of the most entertaining last year, too bad JT got the better of him counterpunching to a UD and a 12th rd. KD to punctuate that win. Was not so lucky in his HW fight debut against Baby Joe, so i think a fight with a washed up Moorer, though how boring that would be, is just fine...to bring him back on track. I think Jirov was unluckly gainst Mesi and he gave toney a tough one. Jirov is a cruiserweight and should return to this division before he is defeated again. I`d like to see him in with Jean Momeck or Johnny Nelson,he`d have a chance to beat them, heck, i`d pick him over Kelvin Davis anyday. The titles are there for Jirov if he returns to Crusier.

I could honestly see Jirov taking Byrd. Not a high probability, but I don't think that Byrd has the ammo to keep him off.

Nautilus-Dull and boring, Jirov rode mesi's nuts the whole chat and was just boring *blah* Not a very interesting guy at all, One rugged bad ass though, I did not know he wrestled with wild animals and shit...Crazy stuff. He is one of those guys you see on a city bus that is all quiet and keeps to himself, but everybody knows not to fuck with that man......Thats the way he came off towards me. Disappointing, I must say. I think he had gone though a training with German shepard dogs, basically running away from the dogs in some corridors. I guess reading and writing was not a part of the training. Well, I will just watch him in the ring then. In Russian he did sound intelligent, and his English seemed reasonable, so I had been expecting more than a dull talk from him.

I like Jirov, I think he is a tough boxer, I don't believe he'll have much success at heavyweight. As far as him fighting Moorer, let's see if they'll be anything left of Moorer after he fight's Valuev.

I'm a Jirov fan just because the guy is so damn tough. After the Toney fight I knew this guy was tough. Then he fought Mesi and let Mesi punch himself out for 8 rounds on Jirov's head. Still I cant see this guy beating Vitali or Byrd. Maybe Ruiz, definatly Brewster. Toney rematch should be a good fight too.
