I have seen Jermain Taylor fight 5 times and every time I continue to see loads of potential. Bernard Hopkins is the man right now and is a great legend but after next year I doubt he will be around. Roy Jones Jr. knocked out twice this year, he had a great career but it looks like time caught up with him. Oscar De La Hoya really Lost his last 3 fights and has loads of money he will probably fight one more time maybe. Mike Tyson at 38 I don't know how much he has left, but after losing to Danny Williams it might be time for him to go(but he probably won't). So that only leaves a handful of real stars left, enter Jermain Taylor undfeated 25 years old, a middleweight(which is a good dvision because after Bernard leaves it wide open). I would say by 2006 Jermain Taylor will be one of the biggest names in the sport along with Floyd Mayweather, maybe Felix Trinidad and other fighters that are not stars right now to the main stream public.
What do you think of Jermain Taylor?
ya

i'm sorry to say this but oscar did not lose his fuckin last 3 fights
he got robbed against mosley
but sturm got robbed to
so i'd give it 2 losses in a row
and if dlh has a rematch with sturm he will destroy him
but taylor will be tha greatest
he will destroy joppy then he will destroy tito
then he will beat hopkins even though i love hopkins
Joppy is a good opponent????
De la hoya fought Molina, Ruelas, Hernandez, Chavez, Leija, Gonzalez by the time he had 27 pro fights.
And he beat them all convincingly.
To say "at this point" in Taylor's career Joppy is a good opponent is a joke. He should've fought Joppy a year ago. He's like your friend in the bar whose afraid to talk to girls. They let you do it and then after you f*ck them only then will they have the courage to make a move.
Taylor's no different.
Name one puncher to adequately skilled middleweight he's beaten since turning pro FOUR years ago after more than 200 fights as an amateur.
Look at Juan Diaz who doesn't have half the natural skills or experience or Cotto or Cintron (only 24 amateur fights). They've fought and beaten live bodies in their weight classes.
Taylor aint sh!t

TAYLOR is extremely promising, but De La Hoya really only lost 2 of his last 3, Sturm and Hopkins, he beat mosely.
Another thing I would like to point out, raul was actually giving jermain a fight and a pretty hard time. Taylor keeps himself open at all times and raul landed some ok shots...Get taylor in their with a true 160 power puncher and lets see what that man is made of....Taylor even admitted he had problems with raul.
yup rual succesfuly back taylor up
maybe he was just being cautious
but he seemed stund couple times
not serioulsy hurt but stunned
when he jumps in with true middles
he'll feel the difference
No....but you do put him in with TOUGH guys, who are his own weight.
The name Raul Marquez looks good on his record, to the untrained eye.
Those who know what raul is, a washed-up, once decent 154lber...can see that bashing on raul taught Jermain nothing.
In fact, when he does fight a tough 160lber, years of punching out defenseless, weaker men will haunt him.

i could careless about taylor until he starts fighting middlewieghts
as for DLH losing his last three?
how can ya count all those loses
he lost once to mosley fari n sqaure
den he lost to tito, contraversial
den to shane again, more contraversial
beat sturm, more contraversy
lost to Hopkins, stepped up to bigger guy
i only see 2 loses dat matter with DLh
Hopkins made a career out of fighting jr. middles, why can't Jermaine use them for practice until he's finished developing his skills?
It's still a little too early to see if Taylor is going to run the middleweights. His chin hasn't been tested yet so we don't know what its made of. After Hopkins is gone I'd like to see Taylor vs. Trinidad to decide who is king of the middleweights. Another thing is supposedly Taylor has trouble making middleweight. Fighters usually get bigger when they get older and he's only 25. Maybe a move to super middle or light heavy in the future.
but his career just started you don't put him in with top notch fighters yet.

I think he has tools, but working them on a bunch of little has-beens has not shown that they're the sharpest of tools.
He better get his head/chin down...he punches with them up in the air too much.
Big flaw.
