Really? I didn't think Michael Grant was that respectable in the rankings now. Fighting Grant would be stepping down in class from his last fight against Williamson in my opinion.
Yeah that's the basically the thing that is most wrong with Boxrec rankings. It doesn't take into effect how the person is doing now. So therefore Grant is #26 which is right about where TOS was. After Wlad beat TOS he moved up 10 spots to #5, so Grant would probably put him there in the top 3.
grant is finished as a contender..... signing with king would help wlad's career in some aspects... wlad would not have to worry about getting screwed in the ring, but outside the ring and in his wallet...
wlad should take the fight with whitaker.... whitaker is not a big puncher, but does take a decent punch.... but he is also inexperienced....
its sure thing 1st Rd KO (whoever lands first)
and it would move Wlad really far up in boxrec's ratings

No shit? I am not defending his actions, just pointing out that in the right frame of mind he defeats the majority of heavyweights out there.
When has Golota ever been in the right frame of mind? Never. He has lost in every big fight in his life. He folds under pressure like no other. And he can't handle hard hitters at all.
golota is a bum... he quit against michael grant

You really think Wlad can beat Golota? Are you insane? Golota would destroy Wlad. I say this even though I am a Wlad fan.

Then he could have Don bribe either the IBF or WBA to have him get a title shot against two fighters (Golata or Mccline) that I think he can beat.

No I didn't. I watched a lot of Wladimirs fights and some of Shuffords on Eurosport though. It was a missmatch or as we like to say in our time a "tune-up". Nothing more. Whats the point?
The point is Wlad looked like nothing special against Shufford also because its really hard to look good against an opponent who runs away from you the whole fight.
I guess this means you didn't watch the Shufford fight.

He would lose to any of the belt holders
No, I just respect his achievements. I'm not a Bernard Hopkins fan either but I respect him for what he did. Right now Wladimir certainly doesn't deserve as much as respect as them.
This being said I was wrong about him being TKOed in his last three fights. But if you're honest the tune ups between Sanders and Brewster are hard to count.
It's not hard to see the talent that Wladimir has. But talent alone doesn't make a champion or a great fighter. Talentwise he's classes above Byrd, Ruiz and the rest of the bunch. Anyway they have the titles around their waste.
As I stated before, if Wladimir wants to make another real run at the titles he has to do something convincing in his next fights. He's in a questionable downward spiral right now. And I haven't seen a lot of fighters comeing back from those.
No excuses anymore, if he doesn't show pieces of his talent in his next fights and prove that he's more then a shot fighter he has to retire if he wants to be remembered as a fighter of some class.

You must be a Roy Jones fan. I promise not to say anything about Roy Jones.

Well, he's been TKOed twice in his last three outings. And he was down again in his last one even if it was just a balance shot. And unlike Roy Joney he's never dominated a devision nor been thrown in the mix as the best fighter of his time. And there's a little age and weight difference as well. Plus Williamson is not quite like a bigger Tarver or Johnson.
If you don't know anything else to strengthen your point this comparison certainly wont help you. Wladimir showed bad form in his last three fights, I don't feel like hes completly shot either but you have to look at it a bit more objective. If he doesn't do anything convincing in his next fights he'll be gone. And rightly so.
You mean last two televised fights? Wlad did have two knockout
wins between Sanders and Brewster. Wlad does not need King to win, people just need to look at him as a top contender and not the heir to LL's thrown. If Wlad was not fighting with all that pressure, he may do alot better.
