I have read many posts that keep kicking Roy mercilessly ... . Roy, as an HBO guest commentator, has taken pleasure in kicking Wladimir after his second devastating TKO loss. Even though Roy has proven to be a Rediska, I refuse to kick Roy, or anyone in the same situation, ... in order not to be like Roy.
You don't ?
No wonder you like Foreman, you're as clueless as he is.
Let me guess...Georgie says nice things about the Klitschkos, right ?
Exactly.
Ok. I was just kidding. ;)
I do not see what's wrong with any of this.

Why don't you like Roy Jones? Give me reasons Cynical, i don't like your answer. :p
His overrated career.
The way he avoided anyone who posed an actual threat to him.
His arrogance and the way he talked in third-person.
His stupid ass thinking he could rap and act and spending more time doing those two things instead of focusing on boxing.
Never trying to improve his skills.
Always talking shit about anything and anyone.
Always overpricing himself so he wouldn't have to fight someone he called out.
Being a pussy and pulling out of fights he demanded.
I could go on and on.
I really hate this guy.
I don't know why all the hate on the Klits, either. They aren't the first fighters not to live up to the hype, you know. I've never seen either of them talk shit about other fighters, the way some other no talent pieces of shit do. Just my take on the whole thing.
You guys are nuts !
That dude jocked DeLaHoya to the point where he was verbally f*cking him !
Don't you remember when George claimed that a guy's multi-colored trunks could be a serious distraction to the opponent ?
When he said Jesse James Leija's best bet against Oscar was to close his eyes & punch up ?
I do not see what's wrong with any of this.
My favorite George line was during a WBA Heavywieght Championship fight and Larry Merchant made some comment about it not being a real world championship. George looked right at Larry and said something along the lines of, "I held that belt, and these men fought hard to be in this position, don't you tell me I wasn't a real world champion. That's the oldest of all the heavyweight belts."
First time I've ever seen that old bastard shut up.
As for the job, they call them "Expert Commentators", but the job is more akin to that of John Madden. They are color commentators, though I think that, with the vast majority of them on HBO being black, they opted to not use the word "color"
I thought that the word "color" in that use is an old offensive word that died out in the 70s ...

George is old, at least he has an excuse for saying things at times that don't make sense, and never really had the sharpest of wit, even in his younger days. Roy Jones is a very good fighter, one with vast talent and athletic ability, that most times, especially at Light heavy, chose not to take full advantage of, but I don't believe he is or ever was head and shoulders above boxing, in his weight class, or any other. His big fucking mouth makes people want to criticize him even more, and refuse to recognize his achievements, which does little for his popularity. Toney and B-Hop both gave him a run for his money, and both fights were way too close to say that he is the unstoppable fighting machine that some paint him to be. I don't believe a fighter's ability in the ring gives them any right to speak badly of other fighters. I know that some people like that "I'll say whatever I want to or about you, and there's nothing you can do about it" attitude, but you also have to accept it when the "menacing garbage man" finally does something about it.
George Foreman was a great commentator. I hope he comes back to HBO, at least once in a while.

When he said the great old school fighters always threw just one punch at a time ?
Sometimes I wondered if George ever boxed.
george was the best, he has been in the ring with all types of fighters, and was ale to give a honest evaluation of what wa happening in the ring. he is much better than manny, who just agrees with everything said. and hypes up his fighters

"I miss George Foreman"
Winter....George Foreman is one of the most biased & idiotic announcers ever.

It is from an old classic comedy with Leonov ... forgot the name of the movie.
I think in Russia, people are back to using Rediska. ;)
The movie is called "Dzhentelmeny Udachi."
I found a nice article about Leonov here:

I like how you said Rediska.

NichtGeflechten and Guru, you might be right. I don't know very much about boxing. But, I do know that very rarely do great fighters, even at the end of their career, get knocked out like the way Roy Jones was knocked out. It really scared me.
winter, his fights at light heavey were not worth watching.... hall, kelly, woods, telesco, etc, they were repitive and against mediocre comp.... but some note-worthy fights of his to see would be against griffen, toney, hopkins, tarver and pazienza
