your boy Peter got :owned:
:lol1::lol1::lol1:
Look here, Peter was NO ONE'S boy, got that little nazi? No one was supporting him or really saying he would win. Everyone was kinda hoping Vitali kicked that bum out of boxing. Yes, bum, it was general common sense Peter was a bum before the fight, a rabbit punching bum, now one must wonder what you and your neo-nazi possy will make of him.
Oh please
He won the fight fair and square. Fact is he busted Vitali up so bad with his fist he could not continue. That fight goes two more rounds Vitali's eye would have popped out of the damn socket.
Vitali had a golden oppertunity in from of him. Vitali fought a fat, old and out of shape Lewis and STILL got beaten.
This is one thing that kills me about boxing fans. We beg and cry for Evander to get out because he's clearly hurting himself, yet Lewis walks away on top and he gets critasized too. I mean what is it?
Lewis is 39 years old, has all his brain cells, all his money, a new family and is kicking back on a beach in Jamcia right now. He noticed his heart wasn't in it anymore and walked away on top.
Good for Lennox
I support and agree with this.

How about the fact he under trained, hadn't fought for 12 months and had been flirting with retirement since the Tyson fight?
As for bold text, what are you trying to say.that Vitali was the overall better fighter due to a post fight reaction? Retard.

people still using the lewis was out of shape thats why he was losing excuse? how about vitali is just a bad style match up for him and might actually be better head to head. did peter come in out of shape too? as for when the fight was stopped vitali ran around the ring jumping on the ropes going nuts screaming while lennox meekly raised his arm in "victory" and couldn't barely move off his stool. i would give a large edge to the gun ho crazy man with lots of energy left rather than a spent man who can barely breathe. what a way to end your career.

I wish there would have been a rematch, but if his heart wasn't in it what's the point? He had been saying he was ready to retire for a while anyway. I personally thought he should have rematched Mercer right after their fight, but it didn't happen so......
The Mercer match was a stepping stone to a title fight. Yes it was close, but there was no clamor for a re match nor was there much point.

The fight wasn't even. Vitali was ahead, quit fooling your self by your biases. But like you said, Vitali needed Lennox to get his claim to fame. Now that Lennox is retired, there are no big fights for Vitali unless he fights his brother or Roy, but that ain't going to happen.
If it was an out of shape Lennox or not, it doesn't matter. In boxing it is about being in top condition every fight.
Technically you could say...
...if Vitali came in better shape he could have KO'd Lewis in 1.
...if DLH trained taking punches to the body, he may have came out on top.
...if Roy Jones' glove was an inch forward, he would have beat Tarver.
...if I got the best trainers and everything, I would be the one to knock off Hopkins.
However, it was a good fight none the less, but i didn't proved who was better that night. But it did prove that Lewis does not have a glass jaw like most people think.
lol your a typical Vitali fan, you say the same things over an over again, he was kicking lewis ass, he would have been knocked out in the next round, if lewis was getting his ass kicked so bad why wasnt his face busted up, or even knocked down in the fight, Vitali had the worst cut Ive ever seen on a boxer and it was rightfully stopped, I thought lewis was coming on in the 5th and 6th, if it went one more round the fight still would of been stopped.
It was a even fight i agree but Lennox's punches had abit more in them than Vitali's did. I enjoyed watching it, i was shocked that it was actually happening. All the build up was worth it. I respect Lennox's decision for retiring, he had achieved everything he needed to in his career. Vitali seemed to think he needed Lennox bad but he will have his own fights and maybe his own sucessful legacy.
:D I also forgot to add that the fight was even and it was a out of shape Lennox so technically if he would have been in shape we MAY have seen a different fight. Either way it was definatly the biggest fight out there.

I am sorry Tracylee, but you got the wrong impression. How did you come up with "Lennox Lewis is not afraid of Vitali"? I was referring to all of the boxers who avoid big fights. I feel Vitali does not avoid big fights. Jose asked me if I like Vitali. I then said "yes", and explained why I like Vitali. That is all.
No problem (and there wouldnt be a "problem" even if you had meant that ; I just would have to disagree :D ). It just seem's like all of Vitali's fan's keep implying that the only reason Lewis retired is cause he's afraid of Vitali. I wasnt sure if that was what you meant or not, that's why I asked, more or less :)
All you have to do is watch the very end of the 6th round... Watch when Lewis sits/colapses on his stool!!! Int the 6th round he burned himself out!!! He was done after that!!! He still put on a hell of a show... Both fighters did!!! And that is whY the fans want to see a rematch!!! That was one of the best heavyweight brawls in a long time!!! Give credit to both fighters!!! We probably won't see a fight like that in the heavies for a while!!!

Just in case I'm getting the right impression here, Lewis IS NOT afraid of Vitali and he has nothing to do with his retirement. Every reason Jose listed above makes alot more sense than Lewis running scared. I refuse to believe that.

Yes. I like Vitali. He is not afraid of fighting. Too many fighters recently are afraid of fighting the difficult fight. They care about themselves more than the sport and would rather find their glory the easiest way.
