NEW BOXING RULES you'd like to suggest

Something definitely needs to be done about the advertisement logos in ring center. They should be eliminated. In addition to being potentially hazardous to the fighters, those things have screwed up the flow of a # of bouts.

i actually agree with kurebe on that make it a total score not points and such. but one big thing is clinching. not alot of boxers do it but ruiz is just fucking adusing that shit out of it. sorry my for my language but he just makes me so mad. they say if you clinch they will take a point has he ever had a point taken away?? i actually think in the gollata fight he did but that was it. you cant really stop it totally bc sometimes you just need to do it if you are hurt but it should go like this. first time you break it up. second time you get a warning third time you get a point off next time its a DQ. that goes for the whole fight not just one round. bc maybe either A ruiz fights might not put you asleep until the second round and B we will see what kind of fighters there really are out there. another one is PPV. i dont agree if you want the sport to be widely known than atleast put some big fights on ESPN HBO and showtime not the PPV version. not alot of people can get PPV. yea not everyone has cable but you also know how much say a bar would make or something like that being able to show fights on their TV's. that would be so much more money in boxing. also have one title per division. not this i took a crap on the tolit so i am a HW champ title. thats bull crap. one title than it will be more exciting bc you will actually have better fights bc the champ knows that if he loses the belt he cant go after another champ and beat up on him. he will have to go back after the guy who just beat him. thats all i could think of right now.

Too Many Numbers!!! I think that the judges have been fooling us for all this years. Even they get confused themselves making changes on the score cards at the last minute. Who do they want to please? The way I see it would be better if they use just one number for each round. If the fight is a "ten" rounder they can read the results for example: "6 to 4" that means giving the round to the winner and cero to the loser. Tha same way if it is a twelve rounder fight: "7 to 5" as an example. SIMPLE!!!

show the judges scores as the fight is happening. i think that it has a chance of keeping the judges honest. show them up until the championship rounds, or half way or three quarters way in other fights. 4,6,8,10, show them up to a certain point. that way people can heckle a judge for some stupid shit. that and if a fighter knows he's down literally on the cards it could motivate him and if a fighter is ahead on the cards it might make him slip a bit and let the other guy get back into the fight. in reality it isnt going to change the fighters fight plan, they hide the score cards to build suspense.........thats why you keep it concealed in the last couple of rounds....... i dunno, there are a bunch of holes that can be poked through this one, but it's a thought. also dunno if anyone has mentioned it either, don't care if they did, i stand behind it. anything to try and bring some kind of honesty back into the game, if there ever was any..........

more point deductions if a fighter refuses to press action i.e runs away barely throws punches n just clinches i know they already do this but they really dont enforce it enough

Although its more about promotions then actual boxing, have a 6 ppv a year rule or something.

If there is a draw, then they should go another round so we can have a winner and i'm getting sic of all the clinching. if your tired or hurt, then fine, but the way ruiz does it after every punch is stupid and there should be more consequences to it

I could go on and on all day on this topic. But I will stick to just a few things. First, we need a commissioner. I am not talking about a dumbed down version per state either. I am talking a unanimous commissioner who has the right to revoke any boxer’s privileges world wide. Laugh if you want, but my first choice would be Oscar De La Hoya. He is probably the most honest and sincere person in boxing today. Let’s take the best we have to make this sport the best it can be. Second, we need to be more consistent in judging. Start having judging classes so we can judge every fight the same (or on the same scale), or at least close to it. Let’s take the opinion of the judges more out of it and make judging more of a science. For example aggressiveness equals 50-60 percent, the cleaner shots give you 15-20 percent, power punches make up another 15-20 percent, and so on etc…. Let’s take all of these self employed assholes out of the game by making a governing body to the sport. Incorporate boxing so that assholes like Don King can go fuck themselves in Cleveland again. Like I said I could go on all day, but the easiest way to see how to be a great sport is to look at the greatest sports and see what they are doing to be so successful. Take the NFL for instance, which is the greatest league in the United States by far, and use the foundation they have to become a strong league. It would be fun and fans would start believing in the integrity of the sport once again. The sad part is that if boxing refuses to do this then their days are going to be over during the next 25 years or so. oh no, not de la hoya as commissioner it has to be mayorga as the dictator

People still die in 12 rounders. People enter the sport knowing the risks. yeah but that's why 15 rounders no longer exist also one can hypothetically exert more energy in twelve than conserving to go 15

Get rid of all these lesser belts like the WBU, IBO and even the WBO and IBF. Just keep the WBC and WBA and let there be one champ per division. Also bring back 15 rounders. I also think boxing should be free to view so get rid of fucking PPV and give boxing and champions a lot more publicity. Make the heavyweight champion of the world be a well known celebrity again.

wOMEN CANNOT IN ANY WAY CONTRIBUTE TO A FIGHT except for ring girls(I.E...ring side doc, judges, etc....) Why not........?

Work in a ladder format.. as u defeat higher ranked opponents u go up and become mandatory for the champ. A champ big money person or whatever can not just go up in weight and face the champ at a bigger weight instead he should start at #10 ranking and would too have to work his way up. Should there be a fight between the Champ from a lower weight with a champ of the higher weight in violation to the above rules it would not be for any belts and just for show.

Great fighter not getting a chance to fight other greats because of politics issue is getting very old. As I said before, the organization should have more call.

judges should be made to take lie detector tests before and after fights champions should have to fight the best, not who they choose to fight one belt for each division tag team fights...... joke
