Words were out that what the the Pacquiao team has as "something concrete" to announce this coming Monday is the contract for the Pacquiao-Larios match in November. The Pacman really needs this fight as the tune-up for the PAC-JMM rematch in February. I just hope this news turns out to be what Pacman and us are hoping for -- that we see Pacman in action before the year ends!
Would this be another action-packed thriller with Pac's signature written over it, or would Pac follow JMM's strategy against Salido to win and therefore guarantee a rematch with "El Dinamita" but bore the fight fans in the process?
What do you guys think?

Destroy is a much too strong word to use in describing what Jorin can do to the likes of Pacman, Morales and Larios.
Immediately prior to taking on MBrodie for the empty WBC SuperBantam throne, Jorrin fought the winless Juan Luis Torres (0-11-0!) at the Cache Creek Casino in Brook, CA, then went up against Marcos Badillo, who had more losses than wins (13-14-0) at Feather Falls Casino, Oroville, CA.
In the Brodie (then, 29-0) meeting in Manchester, Jorin put Brodie down in the 10th then eked out a Majority Decision win.
His first defense, which was in Tokyo agaist Osamu (NOT Ossama, as in THAT Ossama) Sato, was a Majority Draw, although Sato went down twice in the 3rd.
He lost the crown on his second defense on Nov. 1,2002, when Larios, whom he had earlier defeated, spooked him, it being Haloween season. He went down in the first canto. The fight lasted all of 1 minute and 28 seconds. The second anniversary of that defeat is just around the corner.
In his first fight after the Larios debacle, he won by a resounding TKO2 in April 2003 at Rosemont, IL. But it was against a John Hoffman who was 10-8 and had lost 3 of his last 6 fights. The meeting was at Lightweight. Jorin was registered as officially weighing 134 lbs and change.
In his last fight, Jorin lost-- the second of only 2 losses in his record. It was at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix on Nov. 6, last year. Jorin and his opponent officially tipped the scale at 129 lbs. The decision was Majority Draw. His opponent? a certain Christian Fabella who was 8-4-3 and was in no mood to show Christian charity that night. ;)
Jorin is digits over 5'5, 34 years old, fights off an orthodox stance and is ranked 144 among the world's lightweights. His record of 13 KO's out of 29 wins is not exactly something that could make a Pcquiao or a Morales tremble. Instead, Jorin's style, can make Morales' and Pacquiao's mouth water in eager anticipation.
I'm not saying that Jorin has no place in boxing. All I'm saying is that he does not belong in the same sentence as Pacman and Morales. Larios, yes. They have met twice. :D
Just wait n see:)
That only shows MURADs incompetence. Since there will be no belt involved in that fight why then did he not settle for a PAC/JUAREZ fight instead. All Manny needs is a decent fight while waiting for his anticipated bout with MOrales, MAB and JMM.
Have you seen the latest? STUPID MUrad was targeting CASAMAYOR, LUIS CASTILLO or Chico Coralles as Manny's supposed to be next opponent after that MAB and Moralles negotiations bog down.
That's just an OUTRAGEOUS STUPIDITY . . . is he trying to feed Pacquiao to the lions? I mean for what? Those fighters are campaigning two division above Manny . . . so what's in it?
Murad's contract is expiring this December and believe me it's most likely that he is going to loose his job.
Yeah, i read that too bro. Murad is lining up 135-lb lightweights for Pacquiao, and not just lightweights BUT P4P champions Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo!
The question now should be : Who's the best promoter for Pacquiao now that Murad's contract is about to expire? Apparently, Pacquiao jetted back to Manila in disgust with these propositions!
Golden Boy Promotions?
Top Rank?
Don King?
Your thoughts.

Bro that fight most likely won't happen soon . . . it has been confirmed that Manny will fighting in MANILA with St Claire as his opponent . . . JMM and Morales have openly expressed their intentions to mixed it up with Manny next year so Larrios moves out of the picture temporarily.
And If that fight should happen it's going to be at 126 believe me. Pacquiao doesn't have anything to gain in punishing his body trying to make the 122 weight limit. There's just not enough motivation, incentive or reason for him to do that, remember that he is the No 1 featherweight in the p4p list.
i wonder why murad didn't even get the st. clair camp to agree to stake their ward's championship belt. by fighting manny alone, one of the hottest fighters in the planet today is enough to bring this ausie under the limelight. in fact manny had a lot to put on the table and murad didn't even get something back for manny other than the match itself.

its seems that getting st. clair to fight pacman this year was the best thing that murad can come up with. harrison didn't work out and so did larios. chi was a no brainer since the guy was asking for the moon and as we all know jmm, mab and morales chose the best options for them, that is -- no pacman, at least this year.
i think murad has to go. manny has outgrown him and what his outfit can offer. what manny needs is not a miracle worker but one that works hard and shows results. murad is all about talking and all bullshits. he doesn't even want to shell out any money out of his own pocket to do his job.
i hope manny doesn't make another mistake by re-signing murad again whose contract is up to expire nex year. i wouldn't mind if golden boy ot top rank gets his contract as long as they can get manny the best deals out there.
now, manny's fighting in the philippines against the ausie is not bad at all if you think about it. the guy is a wbo intercontinental champion with a respectable ring record. i read from other posts that he hasn't been knocked out and has fought boxers in higher divisions. if he is for real (a tough fighter that is), then he is not some patsy that murad just happened to pick up from the streets.
do you guys know what weight this guy and manny are fighting at? i don't think manny should fight beyond 126 for now. One hundred thirty sounds reasonable but beyond that is pushing him to the limit, even to say that this fight is a tune-up for erik morales. i think it's a risky proposition. i don't want manny to derail his ascent to being an hbo-ppv marquee fighter because of a lousy loss to a virtually unknown fighter at the wrong weight division. this is the last thing that manny needs at this point in his career.
regarding the espinosa case, i don't think it's going to happen to manny because he has a good backing of high profile individuals in the philippines including president arroyo. i don't think there is a small-time promoter that would dare to mess with the present darling of the philippine sports, or else he'll go straight to calaboose.
all is uncertain on who is pacman fighting next, but st. clair i think won't do any good for pacquiao except (just) to avoid getting rusty, that's just it! this unknown boxer is not of pacquiao's caliber. considering the status that pacquiao is now enjoying, this is not a good fight for him! larios is much a better fight! if pacquiao is fighting st. clair, arum and the rest who belittles pacquiao will have the last laugh because they have succeeded in dumping pacquiao!
there should be another way to avoid ring rust. however, if this fight with st. clair will push through, i hope pacman is getting the right pay. the fight will be made in the philippines, it doesn't sound pacquiao will get a good deal. has anybody heard the case of luisito espinosa?
If indeed Morales is keen on his words that he would fight Manny before he goes up in weight then I don't see any reason why Team PAC would refuse that, then that should be Manny's first fight for '05 if indeed he wins against MAB. Choosing between JMM and Morales is not hard, I'd go for the later because he is a p4p fighter. As I said let JMM beg fot his rematch. . . let him fight Salido again, Juarez or who ever . . . maybe by then JMM already realizes how stupid he and his team has been in comparing his ABC titles from Pacquiao's P4P title.
Yeah, it's true that he really just needs one belt. If Pac beats Morales and becomes WBC superfeatherweight champ, Marquez' belts are useless unless he wants to be title holder in 4 different divisions. That would be something. But if Pac beats Morales, superstardom awaits him and Marquez, like you said, can only beg for that rematch that he shouldn't have avoided in the first place.
He badly needs the rounds indeed to sharpen up again. I can agree with you there mooks. If Pac is preparing for JMMarquez next, I think he should fight St. Claire on his own terms at 126. Who do you think will be lined up for Pac next year? JMM & MAB are strong possiblities given the excitement and anticipation a rematch brings, but do you honestly think Morales will fight Pac? How 'bout Harrison? Your thoughts.
To be honest with you, I don't think that we would even fight JMM in Feb. Say he gets past this fight with the Aussie, he'd probably go for a fight against the winner of MAB/Morales whoever wins. I say it'll be Morales. He said he wanted to fight Pac b4 moving up and I think he would. (Although...people DO tend to change their minds)
Even if MAB wins, then he'd be itching to fight Pac with his new found confidence and will get a chance to avenge his loss. If he gets passed Morales then who knows, why not campaign in the superfeatherweight if you dethrone the king (keeping in mind that Marquez will be running faster than ever before :D )? If he doesn't get past Morales, he'll probably have to fight MAB again before getting a second crack at JMM. I think Harrison's going to fight Marquez before Pac gets a chance to put him back on his ass.
Manny fighting St, claire at 126 or 130 will be beneficial for him, the question is . . . is Manny prepared to fight at 130 at this time when his preparation has been delayed and affected by turns of events? Ony Roach can give us an objective answer to that question.
As to Manny's next opponent it's most likely that it's going to be JMM and the winner of that Morales/MAB fight coming in as a second priority. The fight with Harrison and Chi will most likely be shelve for the moment.
But for me personally I'd like to make it clear that I want Manny to fight Chi or Harrison first and keep JMM waiting for his turn. The way I'm looking at it, JMM after his uneventful and non-exciting fight with Salido would like to get back into the big picture by fighting Many again . . . and I say no way . . . let JMM beg for his chance . . . it's payback time. Manny doesn't need JMM's belt if he is going to be succesful against Chi or Harrison. One legitimate belt will be enough to suplement his pound for pound Featherweight KING title.
Battles are being lost on the table for TeamPac. Murad blew it numerous times already and Arum got the better of him. He's on the verge of signing up Barrera, Arum dangled Morales (while enticing MAB), well Murad took the bait and dropped MAB...and Arum got the EM-MAB 3 goin. Excellent move for his boy Morales! Nazario was approached by Harrison's people, got an offer but was more worried that Murad will be left out of the picture than Pacquiao not having a decent opponent! Disregarded this option and now we have St Clarice in the picture. These people behind Pacquiao is ruining him. Incompetent and greedy SOB's!!!
Yeah, a fight with the Real McCoy would've been the best option considering the circumstances. Pac-Chi won't sell, definitely...add to the fact that Chi is demanding a ridiculous purse not less than US$1M! or "...not a cent less than Pacquiao!"
OK St. Clarice let's get it goin! hahahahaha LOL :)
Larios does not stand a chance against Pacquiao.
I agree bro. Larios' aggressive come forward fighting style fits perfectly to Pac's like a glove. Chololo just loves to slug it out and throw volumes of punches, but I don't see enough power that will really gain Pac's respect. Pac's superior hand speed and firepower will be just too much for him to handle. I would've preferred Larios rather than St. Claire. It would sell, but definitely not in the MAB-EM 3 undercard as originally proposed. Being double-crossed is enough insult already. OK St. Claire let's get it on. :D
I actually like this tune up. I mean if he is hungry for EM, then there is no reason why he shouldn't fight St. Clair. The latter has a good chin and would be a good test for Manny's power. With the inactivity, he'll need the rounds. If he would have fought a patsy opponent like Salido, he would have KOD him in 2 rounds and that don't help his case of tuning up. Do you guys know what weight the match will be in?
