Murphy's Laws
*Nothing is as easy as it looks.
*Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
*If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong. Corollary: If there is a worse time for something to go wrong, it will happen then.
*If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway.
*If you perceive that there are four possible ways in which a procedure can go wrong, and circumvent these, then a fifth way, unprepared for, will promptly develop.
*Left to themselves, things tend to go from bad to worse.
I'm with you - MAB is one tough nut to crack. If all other factors being equal (like physical conditioning) the winner would be the one who is more 'psychologically' fit. And this is one area where MAB is suspect after the humiliation at the hands of Pac-man. Anyway, I hope he's 100% this time so that we'll be in for an axciting mstch!
As I've said on another post, I think MAB is the same he's always been, and the Pac fight was an aberration and down to MAB not being able to handle the speed.
Erik has nothing like Pac's speed, and Barrera will find him with punches like in the first two fights.
HOWEVER, I think Erik beats BArrera in a boxing match (and I though he did in the 2nd fight), and indeed I think it will be similar to the 2nd match, except this time Erik will get the decision.
Don't think Erik is an automatic winner, though, just because Pac hammered MAB!

i think this fight will be more of a boxing match like the early parts of the second fight, so i think morales will pull out the decision. im a huge morales fan but i must say there were times in the first fight when morales was just getting beaten up. morales landed some really good shots to but i think it was clear barrera won the first fight. they both have one and i cant wait to see who comes out on top.
its fights like these that make you want to root for both guys.
very true, and good karma for that! ;)
Hi guys! I think this fight is evenly matched (assuming MAB is back in form), and could go either way, very much like I and II. However, if Marco has not really recovered from the beatings he took from Pac-man, then he has a very slim chance of pulling it off. The good news is that the winner goes to face the winner of JMM-Pacman! There are few fights you can look forward to in boxing today!
MAB IS back in form...hes been beaten before and came back strong. I dont think for one min. that Manny destroyed him in that way. In the ring he beat him good, but that didnt 'end' him or anything. Give him some credit, he's tougher than that. And he's proved it over and over again. But, I still go with Morales this time around :D ...but it has nothing to do with his loss to Manny ;)

My sweet Tracy, I think this will be a great fight so I agree on that but I don't agree when you say that Morales is technically better than Barrera. Barrera has more style, in my opinion, is a better body puncher, and fights better moving backwards. However, I think Juan Manuel Márquez is technically better than both.
my sweet exciter ...they may be equal on technique, but for some reason I've always liked Morales' style more. I like JMM too, but think that Morales would pick him apart. Just my opinion, oh sweet one, so thanks for being kind while disagreeing....wanna bet? I didnt bet in fantasy betting cause with these 2 boy, who knows...but I'd be glad to bet you that Morales wins this one. Interested?? :D
I very much look forward to it. What started in 2000 can finally be finished 4 yrs later and both decisions given in the first 2 fights are so questionable its only right there should be a third fight to really decide whos the better fighter. I think that Barrera has fully 'recovered' from his loss to Manny and is ready to take Morales on again. To me this is what fight fans live for; a grudge match between two Mexican warriors that hate each other with both feeling robbed at least once in crazy decisions ...its time to put it to rest and see whos the better man.
I am going with Morales this time around....I think he's the more technicaly sound fighter and is pretty pissed about the decision given to Barrera in #2...alot of fuel to that particular fire. I'm very excited about this fight and cant think of one single match up I want to see more. It's time to get this over with....some of us have been waiting 4 damn years and dont believe that if Manny Pacquaio isnt in the ring it wont be exciting. At any stage of the game with Morales and Barrera squaring off theres gonna be excitement.

I can't see why everyone thinks this is a one-sided bout!
MAB is just the same as he's always been. Pac would have done that to him at any stage in Barrera's career...he just couldn't handle the style and the speed.
This fight is just as competitive and intriguing as their first two fights IMO.

You said it. Unlike most people in this forum, I show no enthusiasm in this fight. It's cuz I know Morales is gonna win UD. It's almost a given. On top of that, the second fight did not live up to the hype and couldn't be compared with the first one. Now this third fight with MAB getting older and still trying to recover from the lost to Pacman, I feel like it would be an easy fight for Morales, not that MAB won't fight back, it's just that he is just not the same fighter as the first time.
