I am currently doing a field operation in Hawaii, and missed the fight. Is it worth watching? can somebody post it? this is the worst time to be deployed, i will also miss the Toney fight, as well as Trinidad/Mayorga. and Roy jones comeback.
I dont care to tape these fight's and mail them to you if you'd like....I've been doing it for other's for a while now. The Hopkin's vs. DLH will be replayed this Sat. with the Jones fight, and I have to make copies of them anyway. If you want, private mess. me the address you'll be at, and I'll ship it. If you can send the postage back, then we have a deal, if youre interested.
thanks, that would help me out alot
Does that mean you can't even make it to Waikiki or Honolulu?
I live in Hawaii and saw the fight at a sports bar. The big fights are usually shown at All Star Cafe in Waikiki or East Side Grill near University of Hawaii, both nice places. Sometimes hotels such as the Sheriton or Marriot will show them too.
i live in hawaii, but i am on the Big island in the field. I am a MARINE.
DLH took the easy way out...at least Freitas got on his feet and said "no mas"..DLH look like he was tring to make it look like a low blow... :D
 Oscar got beaten like a man, Freitas quit before he got KO'd.
What do you think about the theory that DLH saw the fight shifting over to Hopkins and decided to not get up after being knocked down from the body shot to save himself from more punishment? I had DLH up on the my card by 4 at the time of the KO. He was boxing very well.
To be honest i don't believe that theory at all. I could tell Oscar was badly hurt there, i could feel the painful cramp pains in his stomach just by watching. He was caught with the odd good hit but not that many, i don't think he was caught with enough to quit. That one shot just hit the spot in my opinion, he had a delayed fall too and thats something that happens with body blows too. The pain can take a matter of seconds to reach it's peak.
I had De La Hoya slightly ahead at that point, his combination punching helped sway me.
Your right i was shocked which tells me he must have been badly hurt. It didn't look powerful i agree but the damage it did was devastating.

But you have to admit that you didnt think DLH would go down and get Koed from a shot like that. I was disapointed to say the least.

When you see the fight you will see one of the pussiest finishes in history.
I've heard enough to know I'm very glad I didnt spend $56.00 for it, that's for sure.
I use to have a family member tape the fight's for me, and it drove me crazy....always worrying that they would forget, or get it wrong. That's why I dont mind to send out copies as long as the postage get's paid back; its no big deal really.
Yeah, I've heard enough to know that I'm very glad I didnt spend $56.00 for it! I understand how much it suck's to "hear" and read all about the good fight's and not get to see them, that's why I dont mind to send some people tapes. It's no big deal; just a trip to the post office. I use to have to get a family member to tape them for me and it almost drove me crazy. I was alway's worried that they wouldnt get it right, etc..

The body is the worst place to get hit, far more painful than the head. That punch didn't look like much but the pain it will have caused will have been terrible. The body is my weakness when fighting, i'd rather take a hook to the face any day.

Wow you are a sweetheart for that.
