Will there ever be a David and Goliath in the middleweight division?
Will Hopkins stay a middleweight and wait for more lightweights to come to him, or will he take a step up and fight someone his own size?
Does anyone out there think Hopkins can hang with a Tarver or a rematch with RJJ given his performance against Oscar?
I think if Hopkins gets in there with someone who can box like Oscar, but his own size he would have a very hard time. He could hardly hang with Oscar, a man who was much smaller.
If Roy would move down to 168lb, and they met Roy would realy hurt Hopkins unlike the first fight. I'd give the edge to Tarver also.
In that case, I guess Zab Judah and Floyd Mayweather are wanting to make their way up the weight-class ranks, but if/when they hit middleweight Hopkins will be gone.

I'm not sure what you mean by David and Goliath.
I think david vs goliath may be referring to "Is there ever going to be a figher, in a lower weight division, who can come up to middleweight to dethrone hopkins"
and that girl in ur avatar is hugh
Oscar on paper looked to be close to the same size as Hopkins. Looking at the two in the center of the ring during the stairdown, Hopkins looked like he was 6'3" 175lbs. Oscar looked to be 5'10" and about 145 max.

There's 154 and then there's 160 and then there's 168. There's really not a lot of room there for a huge disparity in size, unless we have a 5'7" and 6'6" contender or something like that.
To me, David and Goliath would be something only possible at the heavyweight division, like Vassily Jirov taking on Vitali Klitschko or Antonio Tarver versus Kirk Johnson.
