Sources close to the situation have informed BoxingScene.com that a welterweight showdown between Adrien Broner (30-1, 22KOs) and Shawn Porter (25-1-1, 16KOs) is close to being agreed upon for June 20th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on the Las Vegas strip.
NBC will televise the PBC series card that will be contested at a catchweight of 144 pounds. According to our sources, Porter's side has agreed to the fight and are waiting on Broner to sign the contract.
Broner fought on the inaugural PBC card on March 7th at the same venue when he easily routed John Molina. Porter last fought a week later when he stopped Erik Boné on a PBC card that was aired on Spike TV.
