Over the past couple of weeks there has been a lot of speculation of a potential showdown pitting WBA welterweight champion "in recess" Manny Pacquiao (62-7-2) against WBC interim lightweight champion Ryan "KingRy" Garcia (21-0).

The event was first discussed as being an exhibition bout but over the last week all indications point to the clash being an official fight if it does come to fruition.  The fight would likely be contested at a catchweight somewhere between the 140 pound super welterweight limit and the 147 pound welterweight limit.

Rising super lightweight prospect Brandun Lee (21-0) recently went 'live' on social media to discuss a variety of topics with fans and one of the fans asked him for his opinion on the potential Pacquiao-Garcia showdown.

Many fans and insiders believe that the 22-year-old Garcia is still too raw for a future Hall of Famer with the pedigree of Pacquiao even at his advantaged age of 42.  The hard hitting Lee definitely understands that line of thinking but believes that Garcia not only has the power to hurt the Filipino Senator but can knock him out.

"Man, that is a crazy fight but sh-t anything can happen. This is boxing.  Ryan got that nice left hook as we all know and we all know that the left hook works better for southpaws so he might land that punch. He is fast and has good timing so he might land that lucky left hook and put Manny to sleep. But again, we have Manny who is older, he is 40+ but Manny can knock people out and I don't know if Ryan can take a hit or not.  Luke Campbell isn't a big puncher or anything but Luke dropped him so I don't know," Lee stated.

Garcia captured his interim title earlier this month with a 7th round knockout of Luke Campbell.  Garcia picked himself up off the canvas in the 2nd round to score the knockout victory.

Lee went 4-0 in 2020 and is looking to take a step up in class in 2021.
