The World Boxing Council (WBC) will soon issue an order to begin negotiations for the mandatory heavyweight fight between champion Bermane Stiverne (24-1-1, 21KOs) and challenger Deontay Wilder (31-0, 31KOs). Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the WBC, confirmed that in the second week of August his organization will issue letters to both sides to begin negotiations. If a deal is not reached in 30-days, then a purse bid will be ordered.
WBC heavyweight champion, Bermane "B. Ware" Stiverne (24-1, 21 KOs), isn't bothered with the verbal bombs being launched by his mandatory challenger Deontay Wilder (31-0, 31 KOs), who is hungry to get his crack at the world title. Discussions are ongoing for a date at the end of the year. Wilder made some predictions that Stiverne will be an easy fight and a bout he should easily end by knockout in the early rounds - if not the first round.
