UFC heavyweight Tom Aspinall is planning to help WBC world champion Tyson Fury prepare for his upcoming boxing match with MMA veteran Francis Ngannou.

Fury will take part in a non-title boxing match against Ngannou on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.

Ngannou, a former UFC heavyweight champion, will be making his debut in pro boxing.

Aspinall and Fury are good friends and the two have trained together in the past.

"I actually spoke to Tyson and he needs some help with his training and stuff, so we might have a little link-up and explore that a little bit," Aspinall told Mirror Fighting.

"I've helped him in a couple of camps before, so we'll see what happens. When I spar boxers, I sometimes give them more issues than other boxers would because I do things a little bit different than usual boxers would. There is punching involved in our sport, but it's definitely not boxing. It's way different."

Ngannou is a tremendous underdog in the contest.

Very few observers are giving him a shot at winning or even lasting the full ten round distance.

But, Aspinall gives Ngannou a very slim puncher's chance to pull off an upset against anyone in a boxing ring.

When it comes to facing someone like Fury, Aspinall is expecting the 'Gypsy King' to give Ngannou a real boxing lesson in the fight.

"If you stick Ngannou in a boxing ring or a cage with somebody, he's always got a chance of winning," Aspinall added. "As far as skill level, Tyson will absolutely school him. Tyson is worlds apart from his level. Over the course of [10] rounds, it's a tough task for Ngannou to win that fight unless he catches him early."
