Artur Szpilka, Eleider Alvarez Move on To Bigger Things

UIC Pavilion, Chicago - Two names who are making moves in their respective divisions saw action on the Premier Boxing Champions non-televised undercard. Both fighters have recently signed contracts with manager/adviser Al Haymon.

Heavyweight contender Artur Szpilka (19-1, 14 KOs), who is now trained by veteran coach Ronnie Shields, continued to stay busy with a three round pounding of Manuel Quezada (29-10, 18 KOs), who took a beating and refused to come out for the fourth round of action.

Highly ranked light heavyweight contender Eleider “Storm” Alvarez (17-0, 10 KOs) needed only two rounds, and a hard combination, to put away Anatoliy Dudchenko (19-4, 13 KOs).

The televised portion of the Spike TV card saw Artur Beterbiev (9-0, 9 KOs) manage a seventh round knockout against Alexander Johnson (16-3, 7 KOs). The second televised bout featured Erislandy Lara (21-2-2, 12 KOs) as he secured a unanimous decision victory over Delvin Rodriguez (28-8-4, 16 KOs).

easy sparring session for szplika as Quezada stood there & took a beating. I could count on 2 hands how many punches many threw...
