Cuba’s Yoenli Hernandez was assigned a new opponent in Argentina’s Ramon Delacruz Sena for Sunday’s fight in Hollywood, Florida, but there were no additional surprises on the scales when both fighters came in on weight Saturday.
Hernandez and Sena – a late substitution for original foe Carlos Mohamed Rodriguez – will tangle in a scheduled 10-round main event in the eighth installment of the “Fists of Fury” series Sunday at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.
The 28-year-old Hernandez, who won gold at the 2021 AIBA World Championships and is now rapidly moving up the middleweight ranks at 8-0 (7 KOs), weighed 160lbs on the nose. The veteran Sena, 24-40-3 (14 KOs), came in at 157.4lbs.
