As previously reported, Deontay Wilder will make the second defence of his WBC world heavyweight title on September 26 - but both opponent and venue are yet to be named.
The 29-year-old was last in action in front of his home fans in Birmingham, Alabama on June 13 when he stopped Eric Molina in the ninth round, live on Showtime and Sky Sports.
The 'Bronze Bomber' drew criticism for that performance and is expected to step up his level of opponent, with the likes of Chris Arreola (36-4, 31KOs) - who stopped Molina inside one round in 2012 - in the running.
The 34-year-old Arreola, who also went 10 rounds with Vitali Klitschko in 2009, has the opportunity to make a statement when he faces Fred Kassi on July 18 but he is not the only one hoping to secure a shot at Wilder (34-0, 33KOs).
Unbeaten Australian Lucas 'Big Daddy' Browne has spent recent weeks campaigning for a clash with Wilder, who he claims has "no chin whatsoever", and Liverpool's David Price was also less than complimentary about the champion's performance against Molina.
Further into the future, Wilder is expected to face mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin early next year, while Tyson Fury plans to relieve Wladimir Klitschko of his WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF belts when the pair clash on October 24 to set up a unification bout.
Fury said to Wilder via social media: "Let's win our next fights & make history together. East vs West. Then West vs West. Booooom."
Wilder responded: "You know I'm ready for you whenever. Good luck in your fight bro... you'll need it."
Wilder won his world title by outpointing Bermane Stiverne in Las Vegas in January.
