London’s George Groves will meet newly minuted WBC super middleweight titlist Badou Jack on August 22 in Las Vegas. News of the date was revealed on Wednesday via social media by WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman.
 
 
The 31-year-old's sole defeat was a first-round TKO loss to Derek Edwards in February 2014. A run of two wins got him the shot at Dirrell and he earned a close decision victory.  His draw came against recent James DeGale victim Marco Antonio Periban in September 2013.
 
Groves, 21-2 (16), has twice vied for the world title, losing to Carl Froch by ninth-round TKO and eighth-round KO respectively.  The 27-year-oldgot himself right back into contention by beating Christopher Rebrasse on points for the EBU belt and then consolidated his position with a win over Denis Douglin (W TKO 7 in November).
